Final reminder! From 10am tomorrow the Camp Paws team will be at the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival putting many local pups through their paces on the Canine Obstacle Course. Some amazing prizes for the fastest and best dressed! So make sure you put on your Sunday Best! You’ll find us on the Hurstbridge Saddlery car park. Can’t wait wait to meet you all!

On our new ships, we're thrilled to be introducing Pet-Friendly Cabins and enhanced kennel facilities, ensuring your furry companions can travel in comfort and safety.

Each new ship will come with:
✔️18 pet-friendly cabins available for passengers
✔️ Secure pet kennel area, with a range of kennel sizes to accommodate pets of all sizes.
✔️ Designated outdoor area where passengers who are travelling with their pet in a cabin can take their pet on lead if required during the journey.

* Bookings for these special cabins will open as soon as the sailing schedule for Spirit of Tasmania IV is finalised.

We’re very excited to be involved in providing this years Hurstbridge Wattle Festival Canine Dog Obstacle course! Kicking off at 10am the course is open to all abilities and will be a lot of fun! We’ve had a lot of rain this week but that doesn’t stop the CP team! GR Ivy was excitedly waiting for her walk yesterday, so despite the inclement weather we pounded the neighbourhood and she loved every minute! Not just as keen on the towel down once home though! 🤣

Look at this glorious golden quartet! Last week we had the pleasure of caring for Roxy, Arlo and Jamie the golden Labradors and the beautiful Daisy the GR! All four kept Will and I on our toes, but not as much as the vacuum!! 🤣💜🐾

Bob and his Sister Margaret are super special pups and regulars at Camp Paws. Last week, as well as their walk they had a road trip with Carer Ben to visit his Pa who lives in a nursing home. Alfie is 94 years young and loved his surprise furry visitors. Bob who is a Bichon x Toy Poodle, loves nothing more than cuddles so it was a match made in heaven!!

Midway through the Winter school holidays and it’s been a massive weekend! The sun today was gratefully received and Pancho, Rodman, Cino and Robbie loved every minute whilst hanging out together at Carer Flips! The fire pit got a work out, as did the tennis balls!!

The King Charles Spaniel are “active and sporting, are great at agility and are obedient”. They also “have an instinct to chase most things that move!”. We don’t see many trucks and cars on our off track walks, but there are lots of our feathered friends. That’s why Rocky, Monty and Louie, our gorgeous school holiday KCS are all on lead today (much to their frustration). 🤣

It’s been a soggy start to the school holidays! We only got drenched three times today, so it could’ve been worse! At least the pups had a ball. As Ollie says “what rain?” 🤣🐾

This is Jamie. Jamie had been an assistant pup for a lovely Gentleman until he was diagnosed with Epilepsy himself at the end of 2023. He was THE best support pup ever. Earlier this year he landed on his paws and came to be Carer Gina’s BFF, and has taken everything in his stride. He is now well and truly part of the Camp Paws family and today is this gorgeous boys 6th birthday! Happy Birthday Jamie. We love you more than you love chicken!! Ps: little did you know your medication was underneath the candle! 🤣💜🐾🎂💜

Today Will and I headed off before the sun, at 6.30am, to join the RSPCA Million Paws Walk! We had amazing weather and met even more amazing pups and their parents. Rex, Wills bearded dragon, was again star of the show, who soaked up every ray of the Autumn sunshine! We loved chatting with RSPCA CEO Dr Liz Walker and were rapt that our next door neighbours were the Greyhound Adoption crew!!!

New kid on the block Taco the Spoodle absolutely smashed his first day at doggy day care today! A road trip and walk in the glorious Autumn sunshine with new BFF Shep and then high jinx with Jamie the Labrador! He sure will sleep well tonight. 💜🐾 😴

The beautiful Bailey has been coming to Camp Paws grooming salon for a number of years, to keep her in tip top shape. 18 months ago however, the family moved to Lang Lang so we were super surprised when Mum called recently to book Bailey in for a freshen up. Her Mum explained their local groomer is enjoying a long European holiday so she chose to drive for an hour and a half to bring her girl back to Diamond Creek for a make over!

Gus Gus the KCS had a sleepover with Carer Kim and her family recently whilst his humans were away. Carer Kim’s 10 month old baby was a great help ensuring their four legged guest had every comfort possible. 💜

There is nothing better than receiving wonderful feedback from our clients about the five star service our amazing team has provided to both them and their beloved pets. Whilst Val was away having a much deserved holiday overseas, her gorgeous Brittany Spaniel Lena stayed with carer Kate and her family. Lena fitted like a glove and was the perfect house guest. Beautiful Parker the Golden Retriever has been at CP HQ for the past three weeks whilst his family has investigated SA and NT. He’s a good boy who loves cuddles and muddy puddles!!! He’s had a number of baths thanks to the recent rainfall, but today he got a blow wave as well!! 😊 He smelt like a bunch of roses by the time Mum picked him up!! 🤣

Today is National Pet Day! A day which celebrates the love and joy animals bring to our lives. The benefits of owning a pet are well known. Both physically and mentally, simply owning a pet can make each day just a little better. But on this day we are reminded too of the many pets that are waiting, patiently, in shelters for someone to take them home and give them the love they so deserve. But if you can't adopt, consider volunteering just a few hours every month or donating your unwanted warm clean blankets and towels, rescue groups can never get enough!! My gorgeous rescue girl Annie's parents were both poisoned when she and her litter mates were just 3 weeks old (pic in comments). Thanks to the tireless work of the Second Chance Rescue I was allowed to take this gorgeous girl home when she was 8 weeks old (nearly 8 years ago now) and I reckon I hit the jackpot!! Looking forward to seeing your rescue pups and hearing their stories!

Today we want to celebrate the life of an incredible pup.

At 11 years of age, Jezzie the Australian Cattle dog still loved chasing balls with her Sister Lola and her daily walks with her family. She was a sensitive girl who loved her people and her Camp Paws friends who came to hang with her and Lola whenever her humans had to be away.

Carer Briony had the pleasure of a sleepover with this gorgeous pair a few weeks ago whilst their family had a weekend away. They all had a wonderful few days together, but in the early hours of the Sunday morning Jezzie became unwell. Briony took Jezzie immediately to the Bundoora Emergency Veterinary Clinic, who were yet again exceptional in the level of care they provided. But sadly Jezzie had obviously been unwell for some time and had hidden any discomfort from her humans. Briony communicated with Jezzie's Mum calmly and confidently to ensure she was involved in the treatment plan and thankfully Mum managed to catch a plane home and be with Jezzie to say goodbye. 💔

We have all talked much about this beautiful pup since she passed and whilst it will take her family (and fur Sister) a long time to process such a shock, there is much to be thankful for. 11 years of unconditional love is something pretty special. Well done Briony, you're level of care is what makes Camp Paws stand out from the crowd. Jezzie 30 September 2012 - 10 March 2024. Rest peacefully now. ❤️🐾

Camp Paws carers Jess and Lachie have looked after so many pets over the years, but this Easter weekend was a weekend “off” for these two lovebirds whilst they celebrated their 21st birthdays, which are just one day apart!! Congratulations you two! You are both amazing young people who have the world at your feet!! We are so grateful you are part of the CP team and wish you both a very Happy 21st Birthday! #21
