Going to be a great day out!!!

Are you joining us for the Guy Fawkes Heritage Horse Ridden or Led Challenge at our Open Day!? With fantastic PRIZES to be won including cash & trophies, it is not to be missed!

And to make it even more exciting, if you don't own a Guy Fawkes Heritage Horse but would love to participate in the Challenge, River Horse Training and Trekking are going to be auctioning off the use of 8 of their fantastic Guy Fawkes Heritage Horses and the lucky winners will get to take them in the Led Challenge, and a have a chance of taking home the prizes!!

CHALLENGE RULES
- All competitors must be a member of the Guy Fawkes Heritage Horse Association ($10 membership sign up available on the day)
- The same horse and rider combination may not participate in both ridden and led classes
- A horse may be used in both the ridden and led class, only with a different handler
- There will be a separate Adults and Junior category. Adults 17yrs +/ Junior 5-16yrs
- Closed in footwear is mandatory for all participants
- Helmets are mandatory for all participants under the age of 18
- You will receive up to 5 points for every obstacle completed
- 10 seconds will be added to your time for every obstacle not completed satisfactorily
- The winner will be the person with the most points and the fastest time
- Judges decisions are final

3 Day Women’s Confidence Clinic
6th, 7th and 8th December 2024
What are your goals with your horse? Do you have a plan or is your horse running to his own agenda?
What are your expectations when it comes to your horse? How do they match your reality?
Had a break from horses? Looking to revive your childhood by getting back in the saddle?
Or perhaps you have had a fall or another incident that has made you feeling a little less confident?
Maybe you simply have a young horse and are looking to create an amazing foundation for him/her?
Thinking that you are alone in these challenges? Let us assure you that your story is not unique- at all of our clinics, across the country, without exception, these are the stories we hear. We are here to help! Our clinics offer kind, practical methods that can be applied on the ground and easily transfer to work under saddle. Our clinics are not discipline focused- they cover fundamental aspects of goal setting, problem solving, personal safety, relationship, and respect building through groundwork exercises- so no matter your chosen discipline, you will be investing in a better relationship with your horse.
Day 1: Will focus on groundwork, progressing through our horsemanship skills, focusing on safety and relationship building.
Day 2: We will expand our groundwork skills and progress to ridden, for those confident.
Day 3: We will hone our skills out in the paddock, riding and negotiating natural obstacles.
This clinic will be held at “Two Styx Cottages” Point Lookout Ebor NSW.
$770 PP includes all tuition, homecooked delicious meals and 2 nights share house accommodation. Limited to 6 participants.

Day 1 of the private long reining and leg restraint training clinic dawned clear and bright in little Ebor, albeit a little frosty🥶. Lots achieved today and we kicked a few goals. Lets bring on tomorrow to consolidate today's training and work on progression to saddle. Well done girls 👏

Interested in joining in on a remote multi day trek!!
Looking to do small sections of The National Trail, but not sure about doing it unsupported??
Remote trekking at its best, and the best time of year to go.
Traversing a section of The Guy Fawkes River on the National Trail.
3 nights 4 days. There are a couple of our horses available to ride. Or you can bring your own. Pack horses included. All meals included, cooked on an open fire. Only a very small group participating. These treks are interactive, you will be involved in everything, from collecting firewood to leading a pack horse.

Poppy's turn to be on guard!! The whole crew having a nap in the sun on this cold winters day. I find it very important for these horses to have some time off all together to build their herd instincts. Very good for their minds.

Home after a great private trek!!! Best bunch of people that we actually met hiking once and they then decided doing it on horseback would be much more fun!! I love having the full crew of horses on a ride.
