We know it can be tricky taking nervous dogs out for walks, we are here to help! Having them socialised under our supervision allows them to gradually get used to new environments, people and other dogs without being too overstimulated! 🐾

Leash reactivity can be caused by a number of reasons such as feeling scared or stressed. Improvement won’t happen overnight, but with consistency it can be worked on! It’s important to recognise any triggers when the reactivity occurs such as other dogs, animals, cars, kids & other people. It happens when your dog has overwhelming emotions & they don’t know how to respond appropriately. Your dog will be able to spot its triggers from a larger distance away so knowing them & being observant can help avoid situations where your dog may become reactive. When they first see the source of their stress, give your doggo a treat and use positive reinforcement. Every time your dog looks at you instead of their trigger, give them another treat until you are no longer near the trigger!
