Membership Information
All new members are enrolled in our Basic Obedience Course, which is offered from 9.45 to 10.30am on alternate Sunday mornings. The Basic course covers the obedience commands of: sit, stay, down, stand, come and wait including learning to walk on a loose leash. Once your dog has learnt the basics, they are welcome to join our more advanced session "Having fun with your dog".

This class builds on the basics, through fun, games, tricks and socialisation activities and commences at 9.00am to 9.30am. The Club also regularly trains off site in and around the Burra township to provide further socialisation opportunities. Annual Subscription
$40.00/family

Term 1 training $30/dog
Term 2 training $30/dog
Payable at commencement of each term

Training Times
Classes are held alternate Sunday mornings from March to October commencing at 9.00am (excluding Easter Sunday). Training is divided into 2 terms:

Term 1 - 17th March - 30th June 2024
Term 2 - 4th August - 3rd November 2024

** Please note - no training throughout the month of July **

Weather Policies

Hot Weather - please note, the Club does not train when the FORECASTED SUNDAY TEMPERATURE for Port Pirie is 36 degrees or above. Wet Weather - training may also be cancelled if the weather is excessively wet or windy. Please contact us on 0486 026 758 if you need clarification at any time. Visitors and prospective handlers are always welcome!

It was our pleasure to host the AGL morning tea for recipients of the latest grants this week.
We previously received AGL grants toward the building of the new club rooms, & this was a lovely way to say thank you and show off the new building.
Thank you to members who made delicious food and helped out on the day.

Glorious sunshine for our last training day for Term 1 but it was a tad chilly!

Handlers had a chance to play with their dogs over the obstacle course today and fun was had by all 🙂

Our Story

CLUB INFORMATION Your first lesson is free! Membership Information All new members are enrolled in our 8 Week Basic Obedience Course, which covers the obedience commands of: sit, stay, down, stand, come and wait, loose leash walking, an introduction to conditioning training, and a session on our mini socialisation equipment. Handlers may choose to continue training in our more advanced class sessions after completion of the course. Annual Subscription - $25.00 per family Weekly Subs - $3.00 for 1 dog, $5 for multiple dogs Training Times Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9.00 am from March to October (excluding Public Holiday weekends). Weather Policies Please note - training MAY be cancelled due to excessive heat or wet/windy weather. An update is placed on our page the night before if this is the case.
