It's another beautiful day here at the Zoo and Rossi would love for you to drop in and say G'day!

Rossi is a Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat, his species' natural range extends from the eastern parts of the Nullarbor Plain across to the NSW border. Although, they are still found in large numbers overall, the wild population is heavily affected by fragmentation, putting their long-term future at risk.

Boisterous and beautiful, Rainbow Lorikeets are clowns of the bird world, always commanding attention. They are a common sight throughout much of Eastern Australia, being one of a small number of bird species that have thrived alongside the ever-growing human population. There is also an established feral population in Perth.

Name Our Kids for a Free Family Pass

Our adorable new Goat Kids need names to match!

These little cuties will be hanging out with Zoo Crew at the Perth Royal Show, where you will not only have the chance to meet them but there will be daily opportunities to help us bottle-feed them as well!

We also need your help to name them. Simply snap a photo of your (human) kid(s) with our (goat) kids at the show, upload it to Facebook and/or Instagram along with your suggested name(s), tag us and also share your post with us via direct message. After the conclusion of the Show, we will select the winning names (one name will be chosen from each family’s suggested names), and each winning family will receive one (1) free family pass to the Zoo!

See you at the Show!
