About Us

Marianne Peters established Sierra Performance Horses many years ago, prior to her daughter Jasmine’s involvement with the horses. Now with Jasmine’s involvement, Sierra Performance Horses has a new lease on life. Marianne and Jasmine work together in various roles helping horse and rider. Marianne offers many years of knowledge and both are fully qualified EMMETT 4 Horses Practitioners, offering physical care for horses and Marianne additionally for humans as well. “We aim to help horse and rider physically, releasing muscle pain and restriction to enable better movement and trainability and to help with recovery after extensive training and exercise.”

Marianne Peters Over the past 32 years Marianne has been instructing on and off in various disciplines. She began her journey with horses as junior youth when she started out in Pony Club and Riding Club. As a youth Marianne branched out into the Western discipline, showing Quarter Horses. At the age of 18 she chose to go down the line of Dressage, training and competing intensively for 12 years. During this time she also retrained Thoroughbreds and competed in Show Jumping & Hacking. After a short break from horses, she chose to go back to showing Quarter Horses in the Western show disciplines and has been for doing so for the past 20 years.

Jasmine Peters Jasmine has been fortunate enough to have been around horses her entire life and has had many different people influence the development of her riding skills and knowledge from an early age. However, she didn’t show a serious interest with the horses until she was about 10 when she began to compete in the Western show disciplines, initially in hand before getting a Quarter Horse of her own at age 12 at which point she began to compete in ridden events.

Both are now heavily involved with Southern Star Western Performance Club aiming to help develop and improve the relationship and build confidence between horse and rider, as well as introduce people to the Western Performance Classes.
