This sweet soul is Jet and Jet is 11 years old.
Jet needs our help to get out of the pound but we can't help him unless we have somewhere for him to go.
According to Google,for a dog of Jets size and his staffy breed, Jetts age is equivalent to that of a 72 year old human.
Despite his aging years, Jet still has a lot of life to live and alot of love to give.
Jet has been with the same family since a pup and now just when his bones are getting achy and his body is needing the warmth of a soft bed to lay on, he has been surrendered to the pound!.
But even through this tough ordeal, you can still hear the thumping of his tail wagging on the ground when someone approaches him, still believing that good people do exist.
According to the pound, Jet was surrendered along side with his boisterous brother, of same age, due to a barking complaint made by a neighbour.
Since being in the pound, the staff have noted to have not heard Jet bark once.
We firmly believe that at this stage of Jets life, he shouldn't be in the pound surrounded by strangers , but rather he should be spending what time he has left on this earth in a warm home surrounded by the love of a family, with a soft bed to rest his ageing body and a loving Lap to rest his weary head on.
In his 11 years, Jet has been a fully outside dog with his only interaction with other dogs being that of his brother and when tested at the pound with other dogs, he showed no aggression but did show a real lack of confidence around them and no real understanding of the Canine body language so because of this, we recommend a home where he can be the only pet.
Jet has had all his vet work completed but with his age and vet history taken into consideration, it's important to note that Jet may need some extra vet work in the future., but realistically, what person in their 70's doesn't require extra medical attention here and there that you know of?
So here's alittle questionaire for you.
-Do you have a spare spot on your couch which is just the right size for Jet to snuggle up next to you on?
-Do you have enough love in your heart to share with a senior boy who has never really known what it's like to be loved before?
- Do you have the will to ensure that what little time this boy has left on this earth will be the best he has ever had and when he leaves, he will leave the happiest he has ever been?
- And finally, do you believe that all dogs, despite their age, should know the feeling of being loved, being wanted and being cared for before they leave this earth?
