We rescue cats and kittens from pounds and shelter's. We bring them into our our own homes and foster them through our network of foster care's. Once they have been de-sexed, vaccinated and microchipped we then find forever homes. We are not a shelter, any cat or kitten that comes into our care stays with us until we have found a forever home for them.

The Sweetest Little Shadow Looking for Love 🐾💞

Penelope, also known as Penny, is a shy 12-week-old sweetheart with a soft, gentle soul. She might take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she becomes your tiny shadow, curious, devoted, and always nearby.

Playful in a delicate, thoughtful way, Penny loves to explore at her own pace. She enjoys affection, especially when she can choose the moment on her terms, and when she does curl up for snuggles, she rewards you with the loudest, happiest purrs. She’s not the biggest fan of being picked up, but she melts beautifully when it’s cuddle time.

Penny is great with children and would do wonderfully with another friendly cat (or two!) who won’t mind a bit of kitten energy fluttering around the home. She hasn’t met dogs yet, but with gentle introductions, she may settle in nicely.

✨ Bonus: Penny’s confident brother Pepé is also ready for adoption! They make a lovely, balanced pair, perfect for anyone looking to welcome two kittens. A reduced adoption fee applies when adopting them together, so feel free to enquire.

Pepé is a confident 12-week-old kitten with a cheeky sparkle in his eye and a heart full of curiosity. This little adventurer is always on the lookout for his next exciting discovery… even if it’s just a brand-new cardboard box. 😄

Playful, cuddly, and an absolute purr machine, Pepé is the type of kitten who hops into your lap the moment you sit down. Whether he’s zooming around the room or curling up for snuggles, he brings joy wherever he goes.

He would do well with children and would thrive in a home with another friendly cat (or two!) who won’t mind his burst-of-energy zoomies. He hasn’t met dogs yet, but with a slow and positive introduction, he may settle in well.

🐾 Why It’s Best to Keep Your Cat Safe at Home 🏡💛

Did you know that cats who stay indoors (or in a secure outdoor cat run) live longer, healthier, and happier lives?

While it’s natural for cats to explore, wandering can put them and our local wildlife at risk.

Here’s why keeping your cat safe at home matters:
🐱 Safety first: Outdoor cats are more likely to face traffic accidents, injuries from fights, and exposure to disease.
🌳 Protecting wildlife: Even well-fed cats can harm native birds and small animals. Keeping them, secure helps protect our local ecosystem.
🏡 Health & peace of mind: Indoor cats avoid parasites, toxins, and the dangers of getting lost or stolen and you’ll have the comfort of knowing they’re safe.
💬 Local reminder: The Mornington Peninsula Shire has a 24-hour cat curfew. That means all cats must be kept safely at home, indoors or within a secure outdoor enclosure. Most Councils are bringing in this rule due to it's importance.

At Peninsula Cat Rescue, we see firsthand how much happier and safer cats are when they live in protected environments. There are many ways to keep your cat entertained, content and satisfied with a life indoors or catio/run.

We are helping to rehome Lexie her owner is moving and can not take Lexie with her. She would like to find the purfect family for her.

She can be shy and timid to begin but once she gets to know you she likes a smooch and a snuggle. She likes to lay on your chest and purr, when she is not playing or doing zoomies.

This is an assisted rehoming all applications will be forwarded to the current owner who will arrange a meet and greet.

Lexie is healthy has no behavioural issues has been desexed, microchipped and wormed. There is no fee for this rehoming.

We’re getting into the festive spirit here at Peninsula Cat Rescue and are busy putting together our Christmas Raffle Hampers ….. but we’d love your help! 🐾✨

If you’re out shopping and spot something that would make a great prize, or if you have an unwanted gift (new and unused!) that’s just been sitting in a drawer, we’d be so grateful for your donation.

🎁 We’re looking for:

• Gourmet treats or festive goodies
• Unused homewares or pamper products

Kitten season is well and truly here… and already we have number of tiny paws in care enjoying safety, warmth, and love.
At Peninsula Cat Rescue, we’re needing more help!.

We desperately need more foster carers to open their hearts and homes to mums, newborns, and young kittens. Every foster home is a lifeline, giving vulnerable cats a chance to grow strong and find their forever families.

💛 We provide everything you need — food, litter, supplies, and ongoing support.
💛 You provide a safe, loving space and the care they deserve.

Whether you can take in a bottle baby, a little family, or just one kitten, your kindness will literally save lives.
