With temperatures forecast to reach as high as 34 degrees this weekend, please don't forget to keep your pets safe.

RSPCA ACT has some handy tips on how to beat the heat this weekend and through summer:

🌬️ Provide your pets with a cool, shaded area with proper ventilation at all times.
🍧 Give frozen treats for your pets and frozen water bottles for your bunnies and ferrets to cool their bodies.
⛲ Mud puddles, splash pools, water misters or sprinklers are all good ideas for dogs and chickens.
😎 Avoid walks in the heat of the day - rather plan to go in the morning or evenings when it is cooler.
🧴 Slip, slop slap - get some pet friendly sunscreen for dogs with light skin and noses.
🥤 Consider putting out cool water in shady areas for wildlife, remember to put a rock or twigs in the water so the smaller creatures can drink safely without falling into the water.
🌴 Small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, fetters, birds, rats and mice are highly susceptible to heat stress (which can be fatal). Make sure these animals are kept in cool and shady spots and provide cool treats for them to enjoy.

These three gorgeous girls competed in the Neuter class at Bungendore on the weekend. All from the same dad (Ch Chowleigh Southern Star) and three different mums.

Each have made a valuable contribution to the breed with all three having titled babies -and even a Supreme Ch!! A credit to their breeders -especially Chowleigh who are represented strongly in each pedigree.

It’s great to see them out enjoying the show life they have always loved.

We had a fabulous weekend at the Goulburn Dog Club Shows this weekend.
The Star of the weekend (results wise) was undoubtedly our young lady “Quinn” -Rynkls Game Set Match who, over the three shows amassed no less than:

🌟🌟1 x BEST IN GROUP🌟🌟
🌟1 x R/Up Best In Group🌟
3 from 3 Best Puppy in Group, converted to all 3 🌟🌟BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!🌟🌟

Then, introducing the newest member to the tribe, “Chai Latte” -Chowleigh Chai All You Like, who on her first outing scored 🌟🌟🌟 Best Baby In Group🌟🌟 -but even better she won every heart at the grounds!! Sip Sip Hooray!!

Little “Scotty” -Rynkls Southern Star Trekker also managed a neat 🌟🌟Open In Group🌟🌟!

A huge thanks to the judges (see attached schedule extract) who could find the quality in our dogs.

Also a big thanks to all the competitors -our Group is always such fun.

And to my large team of helpers -you know who you are and I can not do it without you. ❤️

Now to get sorted for the shows at Bungendore -where we don’t compete as we are part of the OC!!

Hooray for a Chow Show in Sydney!! Hope to see many of you there! General public and their pups welcome to come and cheer us on!

The Chow Chow Dog Club of NSW is excited to announce our 5th & 6th Championship Specialty Shows, to be held on Saturday October 12th!

Mr Greg Lamb (NSW) will be judging the am Show & Mr Joe Daidone (QLD) will be judging the PM show.

Mr R Barter (NSW) will be judging Property Classes not before 11.30am

Thank you so much to our major Sponsor for supporting our show and providing some amazing prizes for the show.

Dont forget to join us for a BBQ Lunch between shows. Posting for a friend….. Would you “Swipe Right” for this little man? Sadly, while all his litter mates have found their new homes, Stephen has been overlooked 🥺. With a mild “special need”, Stephen is looking for a loving home that has the heart and resources to care for him in return for his eternal love. A smart little man, Stephen would also make a great sporting candidate for those wanting an easy to train dog. Flick us a pm if you would like to be put in touch with Stephan’s humans.

So very proud of this little man. “Axl”, Ch Katasia Guns N Roses (Sup Ch Chowleigh Blacks Back Atrynkls x CIB Ch Rynkls A May Zing Rose) had a great time at the Dogs ACT Australia Day Weekend. For the All Breeds shows Axle won all three junior In Group and converted 2 of those to 🌟BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW 🌟 Then, for the Non Sporting Group Specialty shows Axl won 3 from 3 🌟R/UP BEST IN SHOW🌟 💕Bred by Katy Campbell at Katasia, Axl is co-owned by Rynkls with Debra Cummings, who does all the hard work in preparing and showing this amazing young dog. Axl is kept in top condition with Purina Proplan!

We are a small kennel dedicated to the preservation of our beloved breeds through thoughtful breeding programs and ongoing education.

We enjoy exhibiting our dogs to gain independant opinion that our dogs meet the stringent breed specific profile expected, and continue to do well at many shows accross the country. We welcome interested people to join us at shows to learn more about what showing has to offer the discerning breed enthusiast.

We breed only from healthy, correct and temperamentally sound dogs in order to reduce the chance of disorders in our puppies. As qualified trainers we also undertake specific, scientifically validated training programs for our puppies to ensure they are well equiped to face the world.

At Rynkls we also offer breed specific training and grooming and are happy to offer advice to all commers, regardless of where your loved dog came from.
