At Whispering Pines we have over 20 years experience handling and training all dog breeds from the Toy breeds through to Dingos! Adrian, our head trainer, has trained animals for television including dogs, cats, mice, ferrets and sheep! Adrian specialises in behavior and obedience training for dogs.

Our goal is to have all owners communicating clearly so peace and contentment are achieved for not only the family but importantly for your pet! All training methods used are positive reinforcement with your dog and being consistent, which leads to respect. We offer behavior assessments for $40

Adrian has a very patient and understanding way with all animals and we find the dogs we have trained here have enjoyed their stay and always welcome us on return boarding stays with a lick and cuddle! For all the information on prices, conditions and facilities, please follow links at top of page

Dear Adrian and Leonie,

I am very grateful for your help concerning my German Shepherds, after months of going to private trainers and obedience schools each having a different explanation or cause for my dog’s behaviour, and being told to use different leads, collars, halters even clickers ( none of which made any improvement), I discovered Whispering Pines. From the first meeting my dog “Naomi” was responding to Adrian’s expertise, I was also shown by Adrian and Leonie the skills to manage my dog, I was speechless how quickly Naomi learnt to acquire respect and to obey the commands. I highly recommend Adrian and Leonie Boehme, if only I had found them a year earlier so much heartache and frustration would have been avoided. With kind regards

When your dog ends up at the kennel because you’re tired of him, because he bothers you, or because he keeps you from going on vacation, he just sits there and waits.

He’s waiting for you to come back and get him. A second, a minute, an hour, a day, a month, a year—he’s still waiting.

He doesn’t understand why he’s there, but he waits because he trusts you. Unlike you, he loves you unconditionally.

Remember, your dog isn’t a toy. Think carefully before bringing a dog into your life. You’re taking on the responsibility of a living being and a family member.

STOP giving free dogs away. This pup didn't deserve the two weeks of torture as a bait dog that he received. Please stop putting your pets on Facebook and Craigslist. These are hot spots for people looking for bait dogs and cats. -------Thank you again for sharing and getting the word out.!!!!🙏
