Had a 6 week wrist check up this week at
Such a cute idea for xmas decor in the xray dept
And my surgeon's rooms on level 7 had a great pun message wishing a "merry hipmas and a happy knee year"
Can't say it enough I am so glad we have a local hospital with such great service and care ❤️

First of many farewells.
We have loved our association with Kelley and her precious bees .
She like us are starting new beginnings north of Sydney.
So her bees will all be together.
Thankyou Kelley and thankyou honeybees for your beautiful honey 🐝 🐝

Our Farmstay apartment is now vacant and we are selling off all decor and furniture items.
Lots of summery gifts, decor, art, baskets etc.

Off they go xx
Our beautiful aqua glazed water pots filled with water lillys and water grasses. Going to a lovely octogenarian's home bought by her son.
She will love smelling the gentle scent of the flowers and witness the native bees and birds enjoying them.

Our days are busy atm.
Packing up our lives and house-hunting.
So glad this gorgeous little creature visits us regularly.
This little girl parrot was born this year with a mishapened beak. But she copes so well and has the most beautiful spirit.
She's super cheeky forever nipping at Leon's hand looking for more special cashew. We will miss her so much.

Had an eventful weekend.
Starting early Saturday morning house hunting on the Northern Beaches and ending with a plate and screws in a seriously broken left wrist.
Accidents happen ! And I have to say we are so lucky we live in Australia and have a state of art new hospital and amazing skilled health professionals looking after us.
I couldn't fault one person from walking into emergency department with a very bent wrist to being reassured and skilfully cared for by the nurses, wardsmen, attending doctors, anaesthetists and surgeons.

I was told there is a 2 hour nurses strike tomorrow
I dont like strikes no-one does but they have no other avenue. We need to pay these incredible people their worth 💙

Our Zyga cactus this year are prolific.
Can't understand how they make such huge heavy flowers from minimal soil.
Maybe the worm juice helps.
The bees weren't visiting these flowers until the big stamin burst out. Now the pots are busy being visited daily and pollinated as well.

We have only 2 chooks atm.
Named "flops" and "the other one" :)
They are brown leghorns, and make a beautiful egg.
Flops with the floppy comb is more dominant and has been laying longer than " the other one".
They make different noises and different eggs.
One lays a more pointy egg than the other.

Nature teaches patience.
We have a neglected garden bed near the fence boundary and our pool. 18 months ago, I weeded out all the weeds and there was a small bush of yesterday today and tomorrow. (Brunfelsia). The wet year has spurred this plant growth and the bright purple flowers have taken over.
It also has a subtle smell like honey 💜

Last couple of weeks we have had the privilege of being introduced to Mr and Mrs parrots new baby boy and girl.
The girl has a distorted beak but manages to eat. See image 3. The boy is a speckled red and green but has a reddish beak. Image 5.
Both were scolded by Mr Red Parrot to go away and get food elsewhere.
Life is tough when you are a wild bird :)
The 2 youngins visited us for a week or so and loved the wild bird seed and raw cashews, but now have moved on.

We have a Tawny frogmouth family and nest beautifully camouflaged on a craggy barked gum tree hanging over our dam.Image 4 is the nest and we think there is 1 baby.
The male is sitting on the nest and the female is looking at us
Perched on a branch below napping.
Supposedly they share hunting at night time to feed the hungry baby.
Haven't seen the baby as yet :)

Our Azaleas this year are so full of flower that the branches are hanging down. I am amazed they have withstood the heavy wind and rain we have had this last week.
And if you walk past the bedrooms indoors the pink is practically fluoro :)

"I had a concerning experience today at my residence in our gated community. Two individuals showed up, claiming they were here to check my NBN router. I found this odd because I had not reported any internet issues or requested with my providers or Telstra raised any service request with NBN. One of them tried to touch and open the router box installed outside my property without my consent. I immediately stopped him and asked for clarification why you are doing and as I didn’t get any messages from NBN mentioning about engineer visit at my address. When I told them I hadn’t made any complaint and asked them to leave, they hesitated. After they left, I followed them outside main gate, and noticed there were three more people waiting in a van wanted to enter, none of whom could speak English properly. They seemed suspicious, and I believe they might have been trying to enter vehicle by force cases the main gate left semi-open for while. I contacted my internet service provider, and they confirmed there was no service request logged for my address. This raised serious concerns about their intentions. This incident made me feel they could potentially be muggers or involved in some other suspicious activity. I strongly recommend keeping an eye out for any similar incidents in our community. Stay safe, everyone. Make sure to verify any service personnel before letting them onto your property. Make sure to tag the relevant community groups or pages for wider visibility."

Its with very heavy hearts we say goodbye to our dear little Raggamuffin. So glad his final day was in the warm arms of Leon and the safety of his treasured home.
I managed to find some early photos all the way back to 12 years ago when he hopped into our lives.
Farewell little man, you have brought us so many laughs.
You will be greatly missed ❤️

Such a cold blowy day but Mr Parrot still visited:)
He has the most intense blue edge of feathers around his neck and back.
