Beloved SWEETCHEEKS foaled a perfect solid blue filly at 2am. She has two half stockings on the hinds & a white star like Blue Suede.

So Delilah and I had a long DnM this week, and the short of it is this, her leaving would leave us both, far too sad.
End of story. We are made for each other, it’s a lifelong kind of love.

On the first eve of winter we reintegrated mums, bubs & bachelorettes to a new field & there was a lot of fun & games going on.
The weanies have been spending days away from mums & coming back together at night, and some nights staying with aunties & nannies.
This group of foals have all been quite late to wean & it's lovely letting them stay with their mammas as long as needed for each foal.
A slow wean lessens the stress on mum & Bub & as you can see, this lot all adore each other very much & the elders have been a family for 7yrs, with our first imported Mare Sweetcheeks & her heartbreaker of a colt High Streets Hercules (For Sale) , our first born Drum Horse High Streets Eva (For Sale) , the lovely Lucy Lockett up the back with her gorgeous colt , High Streets Teddys Charm (sold)
The precious & most snuggley Imported mare The Madonna Filly (sold) with her adorable filly High Streets The Black Madonna Filly (sold) who is now, pretty much as high as mum already & an insatiable smooch - I simply cannot get enough of this lass, and honestly if I could piggy back her, she would be up for the ride!!! Our beautiful Little Alice who is now a healthy girl again (she arrived with a blazing fever & blowing like a freight train upon her return to the farm after a massive trip in the peak of summer over the Nullarbor Desert poor darling girl!!!!!) she is now a healthy weight, looking more like a horse than an obese hippo & detoxed from being grazed on Capeweed (which is toxic to horses and rife in WA) thanks to Melissa Carlon's fab nutritional advice & our lovely vet Dr Clunie who treated Alice on arrival (and after almost a month of antibiotics, and pro & pre biotics, specially formulated vitamin & mineral mixes with oodles of magnesium & many more goodies..... and a diet overhaul ....... she turned the corner PHEW!!! ) Alice has never felt better & is so happy to be with her besties & be in shape .... being obese is just as unhealthy as being poorly folks.....
