'Phoneix'
This very special girl has found her forever home.........................right here with us!!!
We had absolutely no intention of keeping any from this litter but she reminds me so much of Java (her grandmother) that I wasn't able to bear the thought of her going to live with anyone else. In fact the realisation came when we received a deposit for her, and I had a major meltdown, tears and all, which has never happened before. (unfortunately I did have to disappoint what was going to be her new family by returning their deposit and explaining that I couldn't let her go, which is something I have never done before, nor plan to ever do again as it was not a nice feeling)
There were a few 'signs' in hindsight, that she was just meant to be for us.
Phoneix (obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor) was her name chosen randomly at a few days old, and red (the colour associated with the phoenix) was the colour of her collar, also chosen randomly.
Our dogs names start with the letters J, K, L, M, N, O................and now P, also not intentional.
But the biggest factor was the bond that her and I have developed. In all my years of breeding, I have never had an attachment to any of the pups in any litter like I have with her, and her with me. There is just something about her that I just can't put my finger on................it's just a feeling deep inside my soul that I cannot explain (those who know though, know what I mean)
I am so excited to watch her grow, and develop an even stronger bond with her. I don't know what the future holds for her, if we will use her in our program or not, but I do know she has stolen my heart like no other.
****EDIT**** I do have to give special mention to the husband, who, although says 'no more dogs' always supports me and my 'crazy'. Love you/###
