** WE ARE HIRING **

We are looking for an experienced (minimum 3 years in practice) casual small animal nurse with certificate IV qualifications for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Pay is above award.

We are a mobile medical specialist business with the bulk of work performed in Melbourne. We travel around to vet clinics performing in-house medical diagnostics. The job is very low stress, relaxed and comes with reliable hours.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant nurse with good animal handling skills and interpersonal communication. Training will be provided. Ideally the start date will be in the next couple of weeks. Start time is around 9:30am with finish time around 5:30pm. Start and end meeting points vary. Use of public transport to meet the vet may be required due to differing start and end points.

The role entails driving (licence required), setting up and packing down light equipment, restraining animals for ultrasounds and assisting with placement of catheters, monitoring and administering sedatives and anaesthetics, assisting with endoscopic procedures etc. Every day is different, learning new skills whilst working in a fun and low stress environment.

We are one week into our new venture and thrilled to be able to have scanned a couple of patients a day.
We are loving our new CT scanner and its versatility. It is giving beautiful images and capable of even scanning an entire greyhound.

We have scanned dogs for lameness, metastatic checks and staging and even a portosystemic shunt.

Today marks a significant milestone for Insight. It has taken many years for this day to come. The idea 🤔started back in 2019, was put on ice 🥶due to COVID and picked up again a couple of years ago. A tremendous amount of work has taken place behind the scenes to get to this very special occasion - the day we open our doors 🚪to start scanning patients. The journey has been full of tears 😥, sleepless nights, laughs and excitement. We can’t wait to offer this service to Victorian clinics and pets 🐶🐱. An Australian first initiative. Visionary Vetcare. Enhancing animal lives. Taking CT to the Vet GP.

🌟 BIG NEWS! 🌟

📣 A massive announcement 📣

We are very excited to officially announce our biggest and boldest project. In just a couple of months time, our mobile CT scanner will be ready to hit the road 🛣️. This is an Australian 🇦🇺 first project and we are thrilled it is finally coming to fruition. It is the same technology utilised in the Mobile Stroke Unit. We will have a human grade CT scanner fixed inside a small truck 🚚.


We can now bring advanced imaging right to your doorstep for the convenience of your clients, greatly broaden the services you will be able to offer and thus enable your clinic to retain a greater caseload. We will commence this service at a very competitive price and give your clinic ample opportunity for profitability 💰.


The truck will be compact to allow accessibility to your clinic car park or on street parking. The patient will come into the truck, be anaesthetised, scanned, recovered and then back to your clinic for discharge.


Cases that would typically need referral for CT scans can now be done in house, all in one day and ready for the owner to collect their animal the same day. All being done at the convenience of their local vet clinic. All scans will come with a specialist radiologist report 🩻.

In the next week or two, we will be putting out job ads for vets and nurses. We are looking for a vet and nurse 🩺 to operate this truck. This could be an excellent role to complement your in clinic day to day work. The job is unique and will mainly involve anaesthetic induction/monitoring/recovery and some driving and down time. There will be no pet owner interaction but lots of interaction with veterinary colleagues.
