Bells diversification means we have many different personnel with a variety of skills. Not only do we do earthworks for drainage and roads but we also do works for streetlight fixes and installation.

This week Bells has been kept busy removing fallen trees from the extreme wind in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Ranges council has been inundated with these requests and are doing their best to keep residents and road users safe.

Meet Zac Lockwood. Zac joined the brigade in 2007 and is currently serving as our 1st Lieutenant.

As part of his role as 1st lieutenant, Zac looks after our pre incident plans and local response plans, ensuring the brigade is ready to go when responding to fires locally.

Zac works in civil construction, regularly driving trucks in his job. Zac brings that experience to CFA, training our members in truck driving.

Father to two girls, Zac has a busy life, but still dedicates his free time to serving the community
through CFA.

Zac says the best thing about being a CFA member is serving and giving back to the community.
