Canine emotional and arousal regulation: two essentials that are often overlooked. 1) allowing the dog time to process & 2) assisting with neuromuscular relaxation
Merry Christmas from the team at Canine Body Balance
Thermal imaging is a powerful tool that helps us understand our dog’s physiological state.
In this video, I want viewers to focus on looking at thermal symmetry. We are comparing the thermal pattern of the left-hand side of the body to the right-hand side.
Immediately, we can see there is somatic dysfunction in the lower left forelimb; it is hypothermic, which is consistent with chronic injury or neurological dysfunction.
After the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, we can see the thermal pattern between the left-hand side of the body and the right is far more symmetrical, which shows us that the therapy has been beneficial.
It may be tempting to look at the images and say the dog is hotter after the treatment, and yes, that is true. The ambient temperature has increased during the day, so the dog is warmer; however, what we are looking for is the balance between both sides of the body at the time of the imaging.
