2024 Perth Royal Show finally over for another year. Very long week but always well worth it. We have a fantastic work team that work so well together each year, along with great judges, lots of cats and great to see so many people waiting to see our beautiful cats.

Our judges this year were as follows:
Ring 1 - Amy Stadter
Ring 2 - Erin Brown

Ring 3 - Sue Game
Ring 4 - Carole Galli

Saturday we have Entires, Sunday Kittens & Desex, Monday the Champion day.

We do top 10 in show for Entires, Desexed & Kittens.

Came home with lots of sashes, rosettes & prizes thanks to our generous sponsors.

Glad it is only once a year though!

Had a great day at Cats United cat of the year BBQ a week ago. Very proud of my cats and how well that did at last years shows. Come home with 4 lovely trophies.
Lilac took out best shorthair entire female
Rocco won reserve shorthair male kitten
Sophie won best shorthair female kitten
Sky reserve shorthair female kitten

Well done to all the other winners, well deserved to all the lovely cats that won.

Will have to see what this year brings. Looking forward to the show season!

Sunday was our last show for the year. It was a fantastic day, with great Judges and Exhibitors. There was some lovely cats and congratulations to all the winner.

Had a great day at the show on Sunday 29th May. Fantastic entry of 103 cats, the Shorthair had a great turn out with 27 adults & 24 Kittens, and of course our 3 Fantastic Judges.

1st show of the year. What a fantastic day had by all, was so good to get back into it. Took 2x female kittens, 2x male kittens & 1 entire female.
Tachali Metallica Blue Sky did very well at the show.

Thought it was about time I posted pictures of babies. Lilah gave birth to my first litter of 8, at the beginning of December. Picture of day 1 and 12. Lost one on day 2, but the other 7 are doing great and just had their first vaccination.

Tachali Russians had a great day on Sunday At SOCC show held in Fremantle. Lots of great ribbons and prizes, as always lovely company, was a really great day.
Very pleased with the Russian results and come home with lots of ribbons and prizes.

Vale Maks (Tachali Silver Maks) Born 3/5/2005 - 5/3/2021.

It is with much sadness that I notify you on behalf of Maree Carle of the passing of Tachali Silver Maks the beautiful, loving blue boy known as Maks passed away after a short illness on Friday.

Maks was Maree’s heart & soul cat not because of his beauty & achievements but because of his personality & loving devotion to her. He was not the beautiful striking kitten when he was young & only stayed due to his personality & affection for Maree. Then he bloomed into a stunning, beautifully proportioned example of a pedigree Russian.

Maks was a star on the show bench for the 14 years he was shown & is one of the most highly titled Russians in Australia. His title is CCCA NAT CH, ACF NAT CH, ACF AOE, DB DIA GC (COAWA), PLAT GC (Cats WA), GC (Cats UWA). A comment from one of the last judge’s to judge to Maks-
“This boy is 15 years old, an example of the longevity of our
breed (on the show bench). He is displaying so many
characteristics of the breed, head shape, ear set, whisker pads,
(look at that chin!), balance of leg length to body, to tail, plush
coat, even blue colour...He has no doubt made his contribution
to the breed.”

During his long show career, he was awarded many Supreme in Show placings, twice was Perth Royal Show Supreme All Breeds Pedigree Exhibit & was always called back for the big finals’ day.

As a working stud, Maks was very diligent, efficient, potent & gentle. Maks’ easy going, gentle, loving personality was a trait that he did pass onto his descendants. His name can be found in many pedigrees not only in Australia but throughout the world as descendants have been exported to Europe, UK & South Africa.

His life was a true blessing to not only to Maree & Tachali Russians but to the Russian breed in Australia & internationally.
