Fantastic Finn 🐾

We first met Finn during a Private Appointment as his pawrents needed some guidance to help with his high arousal levels and vocalisation on lead. After a few one on one sessions and working hard on his skills at home Finn signed up to our Basic Obedience workshop! 🤩

He is just over halfway through the workshop now and showing just how far he has come! His engagement with his owners is fantastic and he tries his hardest with every skill and distraction thrown his way! 😍

Keep on working hard buddy, proud of you 🫶🏻

Almost there! 🐾

These adorable pups are just weeks away from their big graduation day!

This week, we focused on mastering the drop skill and introduced our fun Ninja Stations 🥷—a playful setup designed to boost confidence and help them tackle new challenges.

It’s been amazing watching them grow and conquer every obstacle. Keep up the great work, super pups! See you all soon. 🐾

🐾 🐾 Fui Appreciation Post! 🐾

Big shoutout to Fui, our superstar Bull Terrier! 🎉 He first came to us needing help with over-arousal and to build stronger base obedience skills to set him up for long-term success. Fui joined us earlier this year and since then has been absolutely thriving in our Dayschool program. His progress has been nothing short of amazing! 💪

A special mention goes to Fui’s incredible owners, who have been nothing but dedicated every step of the way, extending the training back into the home and booking check ups with our trainers when ever they have any questions or concerns. Your hard work and commitment have made all the difference in his journey! 🙌

Meet Pudding 🫶🏻🐾

Pudding is a 6 month old working line German Shepherd who recently completed a 20 day Board & Train here with the team at Hedgegrove Pet Retreat.

Being a young, high energy pup Pudding struggled with self settling, high arousal levels, destructive behaviours and lots of nipping and mouthing.

Without a healthy outlet Pudding would have continued to find her own “fun” when at home. Pudding absolutely LOVES to play! By building her play drive not only did it give her an outlet for all her energy it also built value in US!

Being such a young dog Pudding will still needs consistent boundaries and regular training to keep her satiated and fulfilled.

We loved working with this gorgeous girl! Keep on learning Pudding! 🧡

Courageous Cuda 😍🐾

Cuda is a handsome German Shepherd who recently joined our Dayschool program to work on some big goals:

🐾 Learning to remain calm around other dogs
🐾 Mastering his loose lead walking
🐾 …and boosting his confidence

When Cuda first started Dayschool, he wasn’t too keen on us getting close and made sure to let us know to keep our distance. Now, he eagerly hops into the car, excited and ready for his training sessions! ❤️

Through learning his basic obedience, Cuda has made impressive progress, learning to approach new experiences with curiosity and calmness.

He still has some work to do, but we’re so proud of him and his dedicated pawrents, and we can’t wait to see him continue to grow and shine!

Proud moment for our Dayschool regular Louie! 🫶🏻🐾

Louie and his trainer have been working hard to build handler value through play and making obedience fun to help work through his high arousal levels and vocalisation on lead around other dogs, over the last few weeks he has been working closer and closer to other dogs and staying focused on his trainer!

Recently he proved just how far he has come and made his trainer oh so proud by being a “distraction dog” during a Private Appointment with another dog to help further their training! 6 months ago he would have struggled with his engagement and today he stayed focused on his trainer and was the bestest boy ever!

This is what makes being a trainer, seeing the wins no matter how big or small with the dogs you work with regularly and seeing the hard work from both trainer and owner pay off!

So proud of you Louie, you have come so far 🥺🫶🏻
