So proud of my parents' (Pam and Rob Morris) achievement in being awarded this prestigious award by the Australasian Arabian Breeders Coalition, induction into the Australasian Arabian Breeders Hall of Fame.
Mum is very honoured to have been awarded this. Dad would be so proud. Mum spent much of her lifetime breeding horses and 'touched' the hearts of many along the way.
**Avondale Arabians - breeders of Arabian horses for around 50 years!
I will be compiling a collection of historical moments, stories and photographs, which will be used to create a video history of Avondale Arabians. If anyone has stories or photos they wish to share for this digital story then please email me at [email protected] . The completed video will be uploaded to the the Coalition website early next year,
Interestingly I would like a good clear photo of Mum & Dad together, preferably with a horse (or two), at a horse show. I have hundreds and hundreds of hard copy photos but finding a good clear one where they are both in the same picture is proving a little elusive. If you happen to have one I would love to see it.
If you have any comments you'd like to share, please feel welcome to add them in a comment to this post. Mum doesn't do computers and FB but I do share things with her on my visits.
We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our annual awards.

The long history of Arabian horse breeding in Australia and New Zealand is populated with many of the most innovative, knowledgeable, tenacious and colourful breeders of the last two centuries, whose vision, dedication and insight still positively and progressively impacts the Arabian horse worldwide. The Australasian Arabian Breeders Hall of Fame has been established to recognise and honor those breeders and breeding programs of significance that have not only established and stewarded the essential foundation of purebred Arabian breeding in Australasia, but whose enduring
legacy still profoundly influences the breed to modern day.
