Our cutie Preston has a favour to ask!
We are running very low on some of the woofs favourite treaties Preston and his friends would be so happy if you were able to help us out by donating the following:
*Kangaroo/Fish base treats (or any chicken-free treats for our allergy prone dogs)
*Nature’s Gift tinned/wet food (chicken-free so our allergy prone dogs can enjoy aswell)

We are also low on flat sheets for the woofs as they like to be comfortable at night so if you are having a clean out of your laundry cupboard please think of APS.

So what is FIV?
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is a common virus carried by cats (it cannot be transmitted to humans). For most cats this isn't a problem, cats often remain asymptomatic for years or even their whole life. Recent studies have also found that an FIV diagnosis isn't associated with a decreased lifespan either.

So what does an FIV cat need?
FIV cats do not need any special treatment other than an annual health check and vaccination (like all other domestic cats). The only thing that we stipulate is that they have a strictly indoor home. This is to ensure that they do not come into contact and fight with other cats (potentially passing on the virus).

This gentle, smoochy young man is looking for quiet home, no other cats or dogs, just a new meowmy, or pawrents to call his own.

Initially Mushu is very shy (but always friendly) and likes to hide under a blanket when he feels unsure of his surroundings. His new Pawrents will need to be patient with him, to allow him time to settle in his own time. A quiet environment will, we feel, help him to settle quicker.

Mushu is an affectionate, gentle soul who will make a great companion cat for any hooman who is willing to give him the love he deserves❤

This soft, smoochy girl can also pack her punches, having no problem expressing her dislikes! She will passionately ONLY do what she wants to do!

With her stunning tabby features and current 'lion cut', Susie could be your perfect feline companion; an assertive confident girl, happy to accept pats but not overly clingy, and still playful in nature but calmer than a kitten!

This girl demands that she will be your only feline, and we recommend no small children, but if you are a confident 'cat person' who likes your felines to have a strong purrsonality then Susie is your purrfect choice!!💕

𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐔𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐮𝐬 ❤️‍🩹

Magnus’ story is one that no dog should have to endure. This sweet little French Bulldog was surrendered to us on New Year’s Day, barely over a year old. But instead of starting the year with hope and happiness, Magnus was battling a world of pain—suffering from an unknown gastrointestinal issue and severe breathing difficulties.

Since his arrival, we have been working tirelessly alongside our dedicated vet team to uncover the cause of his distress. Despite our best efforts, Magnus has taken a turn for the worse and is now under close observation at an emergency vet. He is in desperate need of an endoscopy to determine exactly what is wrong and how we can help him.

Magnus’ suffering is the devastating result of irresponsible breeding. French Bulldogs, like so many other brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, are often bred without proper health considerations, leading to lifelong medical complications. Backyard breeders prioritise profit over welfare, and it’s dogs like Magnus who pay the price. His story is a painful reminder of why it is so important to support ethical breeding practices and to adopt responsibly.

Right now, Magnus needs us more than ever. His medical costs are mounting, and we urgently need your help to ensure he gets the care he so desperately requires. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards his vet bills and give him the best possible chance at a healthier, happier future.

We had a special visit this morning from our friends Hugh Jones MLA, Terry Healy MLA, Dr. Tony Buti MLA & Yaz Mubarakai MLA. They have jointly made a pre election commitment to APS to fund a $50,000 renovation to our Laundry & Quarantine areas. We are so grateful for their ongoing suppawt 🙏🏼🐾 Magnus & Jeremy were keen to show them around and check their pawkets for treatos 😜

Sunday Pupdate 🐾

We have an update that we know so many of you have been waiting for. Remember poor puppy Trooper who was handed in to vets in a shocking condition - emaciated and with wounds all over him especially his ears which were hideously infected and there was a time when we thought he would lose his ears……Have a look at him now 😍. Trooper has made a full recovery….with ears and has been adopted.

Thank you to everyone who suppawted us to get Trooper what he needed and to our amazing Vets, Volunteers & Foster Carers for making this magic happen.

Trooper has come a long way, he has some training needs that we will support his family with to make sure that he grows up to be the bestest boy he possibly can ❤

This is Gus. Gus would like to ask our amazing suppawters if they could do him a solid and throw some Tuna or Sardines in your shopping trolley for him and his APS Woofy mates? 🙏 With the heat we are dealing with, Gus & his mates really look forward to their Iced Licky bowls with Fishy Omega 3 yumminess 👅 Today the team discovered that we are disturbingly low on supplies 😳The ones shown are well priced and Gus loves a bargain 😛 Ideally Tuna or Sardines in springwater please, helps keep the babies hydrated 😍 We will post a video of the some of the kids with their Licky bowls in comments for your viewing pleasure.
