🪷 Stunning Autumn 🪷

Hi everyone! I'm Autumn, and I'm an aspiring supawmodel… what do you think? Do I have what it takes? My new friends at APS certainly think so. I have the most beautiful, amber eyes that just melt everyone's heart.

I'm a total people dog - I love spending time with humans no matter what we're doing… hanging out, cuddles and belly rubs, playtime, and walkies - I love it all. I'm full of energy and would thrive in an active furever home, especially one filled with new adventures!

As I adore human company, I would prefer someone home more often than not, but who can also help me learn to feel comfortable and content by myself too. I've heard through the APS grapevine that some of the other woofs have these things called "crates" that provide a safe space for them. Perhaps I could learn the ways of the crate in my forever home!

Socialising with other dogs isn't something I was exposed to in my previous life, so they can be a bit scary to me. I would love a home that understands that I may never be an off-lead dog, but that it doesn't mean I can't enjoy all of our future adventures together! If you have a well-balanced male of similar size and energy, I'm still open to having a fur brother pending a controlled meet and greet to ensure I am comfortable with him.

If you're looking for a strikingly beautiful, energetic, playful, and loving furbaby to always be by your side, then I'm your girl. Let's do this thing called life together!

Hi friends! I’m Felix, and I’m here to capture your heart (and your couch!) with my charming face, bubbly pawsonality and happy, wiggly butt.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a happy-go-lucky, energetic companion who’s always up for adventures, running sessions or cuddling up on the couch watching your favourite movie…then your quest can officially come to an end!

I’ve had a blast playing with all my new human and woofy friends at APS, but it’s time for me to share my heart with a family of my own. Being a working breed woof, I’m looking for the pawfect family to keep up with my energy levels and to keep my brain happy with daily exercise and enrichment.

Having fun and playing with my humans is my favourite pastime, but cuddling up after we’ve played is a close second. I also enjoy playing with other dogs and tearing around together, but when it comes to my forever home, I’d prefer to be your one and only furchild.

Hi I’m Dusty! I was named Dusty because when I was found by the Rangers who rescued me, I did look like a Dusty old floor mop!

I wasn’t in a good place, I had been passed around between people and when the Rangers first saw me, I was being very badly mistreated 😞Thankfully they knew I needed rescuing. They got me to safety and whilst I was initially scared and overwhelmed, they spent the time to let me learn to trust them and I started to show them that I am a Good Boi who just wants to be loved. They also discovered that I am only still a baby at just 12 months. They wanted me to have an amazing life and they called some friends of theirs at APS and asked them to let me join the APS family.

The lovely APS people came to get me, they cuddled me all the way to APS and then EVERYONE wanted Dusty cuddles! Since I have arrived, I have met so many new friends. I have met tiny little people the same age as me, I have made Doggy friends & had some Cat chats. I have been for sleepovers and have been such a good house guest. I like to sleep in my own bed on the floor, I am not one who wants to sleep in the Big Bed. I do have lots of energy and Zoomy mode does get engaged……I am young and want to have FUN!

My new friends gave me a Bath and a hair cut! You should see me now! They tell me that I am very handsome……which I already knew! I have been to the V-E-T’s and have a clean bill of health. I am chipped, vaccinated, wormed and…..YEP…..they went there……my hairy picked onions have also gone!!

So what am I you ask?? Well I am a very rare breed called a MaltiSh*tPoo! The more refined may call me a Schmoodle. I am however just a little Floof standing in front of you, asking if you could love me?

So now I am ready for adoption. My APS family will take Expressions of Interest and will interview the most suitable candidates to be my new family.

Here are the things I have asked my APS Family to find for me in a Furever home:

I would love to be part of a family, I think having 2 legged siblings would be ah-mazing!

A fur sister of similar size/energy would also be fun.

A family where I will be a part of everything - except mopping floors 😛

Regular grooming to maintain my ruggedly handsome good looks

Hello everyone... Allow me to introduce myself - I'm Tully.

I recently arrived at APS from a local pound, feeling scared and overwhelmed by this unfamiliar situation. Thankfully, my newfound friends could see the sweet boy hiding inside, eager to show himself to the world. Now, I'm thrilled to embark on the search for my next chapter in life - my own furever home story.

Since my arrival, I have been diligently working on building my confidence. It turns out, it's easy to do when you're surrounded by love, encouragement and support! Now, I love nothing more than showcasing my true self; the happy, bouncy, playful, and cheeky, lovable boy that I am!

If you have a female woof that would love a fur brother for companionship and mischief-making, I could be your boy! I'm still learning to play with other dogs and to be the most upstanding canine citizen, I have a lot potential and would thrive in a family who can help me learn. If you don't have a dog, that's OK too; I'm content to be your one and only, as long as I can continue to work on my socialisation and have doggy friends.

As I'm still a young man, I'll need a little help with my doggy etiquette, like walking on a lead - I'm just so excited for walkies that I forget I'm a strong boy! While I warm up quickly to new people, I can still be a little shy at first. I know my furever home will help me to continue working on my confidence and experiencing the big wide world…one adventure at a time!

• Must be a team player with a mature outlook

Meet Ferdi (named after Ferdinand the cartoon Bull) because he is just the sweetest little man ❤

FERDI – MASTIFF X – MALE – MEDIUM - 7 months old

Hey world! I'm Ferdi, don't I just have the sweetest little face?

I came to APS from the pound; just a shy, skinny little pup looking for my place in the world.

It wasn't long after my arrival that I came out of my shell and showed my new found friends my adorable pawsonality. Being only a young man at about 7 months old, I have my whole life ahead of me…hopefully filled with endless adventures, fun and of course, LOVE!

I adore playing with other doggo's, I have made lots of new furfriends and love running amok with all of them! I could definitely see myself in a home with a fursister to keep me company, to play with and snuggle up to. If you don't have a dog, that's OK too! As long as I still have doggy friends that I can play and socialise with. I heard there's this cool thing called "Doggy Daycare", I could totally be up for that!

I'm a smart boy who would love a family that can help me to flourish into the goodest gentleman, I pawmise I am a quick learner and eager to please!

These tenacious teens are still hoping to find their loving homes soon, and for the month of April we have reduced their adoption fee by $85 to $180😻

All kitties are vet checked & chipped, fully vaccinated, sterilised and raring to go!!

🐾💔 Urgent Appeal: Supporting Taco's Journey 💔🐾

We desperately need your help! Meet Taco, our adorable 8 month old Bull Arab x pup who captured our hearts from the moment he came into our care as a stray from a rural pound. Taco is an absolute bundle of joy - happy, cheeky, and incredibly affectionate. However, his journey has been far from easy.

Upon arrival, it was evident that Taco faced some unique physical challenges due to poor breeding. Sadly, further examinations revealed that his genetic conditions were more severe than anticipated. Recently, Taco was rushed to the Emergency Vet, where he spent two nights being monitored until a cardiologist was able to assess him and conduct an echocardiogram, only to discover that our beloved pup is battling severe congenital heart failure 💔

Despite his unfortunate prognosis, Taco's spirit remains unwavering. He has since been discharged from Emergency with a regimen of costly heart medication and diuretics. However, we refuse to give up on him. Taco deserves every chance to experience love and happiness in whatever time he has left.

We are reaching out to our community in search of a special palliative foster home for Taco. We need a place where he can be the centre of attention, with no other pets around, in a calm environment conducive to his restricted exercise. A home where someone is present more often than not to provide him with the companionship he craves.

Taco is still your typical, playful pup who loves to greet everyone he meets with a wiggly butt and sweet smile. He appears to be housetrained, he is a total snuggler and adores human company.

We aren't sure how much time he has, we will be letting him and his condition guide us. We aren't saying it will be easy, there will be heartache. But we are saying, is that we promise Taco will repay you in a lifetime's worth of special moments and memories 💝

Additionally, we are launching a fundraiser to help cover Taco's mounting medical expenses. These include his emergency hospital stay, specialist consultations and diagnostics, ongoing medication, and vet appointments. Your generosity can make a world of difference in Taco's life.

APS are turning 50 in October this year 🎉 To celebrate, we will be holding our:

🐾 APS 50th Anniversary Golden Furball 🐾

This event will be held on Saturday 26th October 7pm to Midnight at The Historic Pagoda Ballroom in Como.

Our Entertainment will be Darren Reid & the Soul City Groove 🎤 🎶

Tickets will include a 3 course sit down meal and beer, wine & soft drinks.

Limited tickets will be available and will be released for sale once we have catered for our APS Team.

Hey! I was a young Mumma of four kittens, can you believe that?

I was such a lucky girl, my babies and I were cared for by a kind hooman and then we came back to the shelter to find nice furever homes... except I'm still waiting😿

I want you to know that I am a good girl, friendly and affectionate but I like to be the boss, just so that you know!

At the shelter I love to hang out in the kitchen with the hoomans, I get to hear all the gossip and get quite spoilt, which of course is not surprising as I am very pretty!

The hoomans have said I would be better in a home without small children and I just want you to know I'm not a cuddly lap cat, but please don't let that put you off me... I still like pats and once I get to know you I'm sure I could probably get to like snuggles on the sofa!

If you have other pets then you'd be wise to introduce us slowly, like I say, I'm the boss and I'm not too keen on other cats!

I'm fun, I'm playful, I'm pretty, I'm the perfect feline package so purrlease come and take me home❤❤

I really need someone to love me, can you help?

I just want a hooman to take me home and love me furever. The last one didn't want me and that made me feel real sad. That's how I ended up at the shelter.

I've been here a while now, but instead of being out and about with the other cats here, I'm in a pen all on my own. It's my own fault, I was very naughty... I picked on some of the other cats and was a bit of a bully. I don't like other cats!!

I do like hoomans though, very much so!
I get so excited when they come to see me, it makes me so happy. I like to play and get a little bit mischievous, but then I sometimes get a bit carried away and forget I have sharp claws!
The hoomans then get angry and don't like me anymore😿

I'd really love a home and a someone who doesn't mind a bit of rough play... after all, I'm so much fun to be with❤
Definitely a home without those little hoomans and absolutely no other cats!!!

Do you have a home like that?
Maybe you and me could be best friends... we could hang out and have so much fun together!
I promise I'll try to be on my best behaviour.

Maybe you could visit me at APS today, hang out with me and see for yourself what a good boy I can be?

I just want someone to give me a 2nd chance❤

‼️WE ARE AGAIN CRITICALLY LOW ON FOOD FOR OUR SHELTER AND FOSTER KITTENS & ALSO LITTER FOR OUR FOSTERS‼️

😿Our shelves are almost bare of food for our kittens and we have no litter left to help out of foster carers. At APS we rely 100% on the kind donations of our supporters, and we are once again asking kindly for your help.

What we are in desperate need of ⬇️

▪️Good quality kitten food (Whiskers, Felix, Dine, Fancy Feast etc.)
▪️Good quality kitten biscuits (Whiskers, Felix, Dine, Fancy Feast etc.)
▪️Litter (for our amazing foster carers)

🐾Please consider helping us out this week - every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a huge impact on the care of our fur kids🐾

Donations can be dropped off at our shelter - 27, Talbot Road, Southern River (between 10am and 3pm).
