💜 BATGIRL UPDATE - FUNDS NEEDED 💜

Batgirl had her vet visit on Wednesday and we have been on a mission to save her life ever since!

Batgirl was found to have severe anaemia but thankfully it was regenerative so her body was trying hard to make more red blood cells.
Her diarrhoea was getting more severe and got to the point that it was just pouring out of her.

We wanted to give Batgirl our best shot to recover as she may be old but she is a fighter!!

So we put her on fluids to try and correct her dehydration, sent her p**p off for testing to find out if she had a bug causing her diarrhoea.

The first day was a battle as Batgirl was p**ping out everything we were putting in to rehydrate her but we got some initial results showing she had Isospora (a protozoan infection) which we were able to start her on medication for.

This thankfully slowed her diarrhoea and has allowed her IV therapy to start making a difference.

Batgirls PCV is showing that her anaemia is not worsening so we can take steps to start brining her PCV levels up.

We are on day 2 at PVE for Batgirls treatment and she has stabilised and may be able to be discharged soon.

This obviously costs and we need donations to cover her treatment and to continue her recovery.

We have never seen a colony kitty fight so hard to live and we hope you can help us with her journey to do this by donating using the details below:

URGENT 💔 Bronx has 3 days left 💔 located SOR in Perth - please share and open the main post and follow the instructions if you are able to help give him a loving home or even foster home 🙏🏻

We are devastated 💔…the kennels Bronx is at, just told us we have given 3 days to move him!!! 💔😭

We just had him at the vets today and the vet commented on how good he was with his body handling. He is so willing to please and eager to learn, especially when food in involved.

Saving lives has never been so hard for foster based rescues in the decades we have been in the industry. To be honest we are at our wits end trying to save lives when it seems our efforts are futile. There is no support for the people running small rescues and it has become too emotional trying to help anymore.

We urgently need to find a confident savvy carer without other pets or young kids for Bronx. Yes he can be excitable, but he loves his people (very cuddly) and does very well in a home environment. He does need minimum 6 foot fencing and no reactive dogs next door.

Sadly Bronx does not travel well in the car (but is getting better) so ideally needs a carer SOR (we will drive him NOR if need be). He loves cuddles and being with people, despite those who have tried to make him out to be something he is not, though needs training. Bronx is such a deserving young boy with lots of potential (hjs manners have already improved), but without a place to go he will have no future.

Whilst it might not look like a lot, we have a small range of stock at Belmont Avenue Vet Hospital and $5 from each item sold is donated to Strays to Stays, a local rescue run by Dr Roan at Belmont Avenue Vet. We have done this for a couple of years now and the donations go towards helping homeless fur babies with medical treatment🙏🏻🐶 🐈 we just restocked the shelves yesterday.
