PETS primarily provides an assistance dog coaching service for people diagnosed with a disability.

We also offer training services for new puppy owners and for companion dog owners wanting help with basic manners or for therapy or visitation dog work.

Today I met Team Bruno up to do a walk through the shopping centre and talk about training in busy public places. We also discussed body language signals and recognising signs of stress as well as how to manoeuvre and work in challenging environments together as a team. They both did so well and we covered so much great stuff today!!! Well done guys 👏😄💜🐾🐕🤩

A great big thank you to and and for taking such great care of Baxter today 🙏☺️ He went if for a routine dental scale and polish to really freshen that breath and improve that gorgeous smile 😄 And after a good nights sleep I’m sure he’ll be back to his normal self and ready to train 👌🐾 Thanks guys!!! 💜🐕🤩🫶🏻

Today I met with Team Rosie to have our first public access walk through together and I am so proud of how they went!!! I love helping teams reach their training goals and watching their relationship grow and develop over time 🥹🥰🐾💜🐶

Today was session four of Wayne’s puppy program and I couldn’t be more proud 🥹 Wayne had picked everything up so quickly and is a pleasure to work with 🥰 He is a confident, resilient and happy pup and I congratulate his humans for taking the time to educate themselves on how to communicate with him and teach him some great foundation skills. He is going to be a well mannered and handsome canine citizen!!! 💜🐾🐶

Team Red are having a great time on their holiday in Tasmania 😄 From dinner at Tall Timbers in Smithton to the Devil Country Muster 🎸 It’s so wonderful to see how much of a difference these dogs can make to a handlers life 🥺💜 Enjoy your trip guys!!! 🐕🐾🤠

Team Bruno have really stepped it up these past couple of weeks 🙌 The hard work is starting to pay off 🤩 Training an assistance dog is a journey, not a race. I work with teams through the struggles and the wins and it is so lovely to see how it all comes together 🥰 Well done guys 👏🫶🏻💜🐕🐾

I had the BEST session with Team Shadow this morning 🤩 They had their first walk through a supermarket and did an amazing job 🙌 Relaxed and focused as if they had done this all before 🥰 Well done team!!! 👏🐕🐾💜

Earlier this week while I was attending a public access training session with a client, I became emotionally heightened and Rommy alerted and then responded to this 🥹 The client I was with was lovely enough to catch this beautiful moment of Rommy offering me support 🥰 Thank you to Team Jhett as well as Rommy for being there for me 🙏💜🐾

Baxter had another great public access training session in Bunnings this morning which went fantastic 🤩 He was able to walk nicely, ignore people, didn’t startle at novel objects or noises, walked calmly through automatic doors and was able to do “touch” and “paws up” while moving around the store 🏬 Lovely engagement and no issues with traffic either 🙌 Is also becoming a master of the stairs ✅👌 Go Baxter!!! 💜🐾🐕
