PETS primarily provides an assistance dog coaching service for people diagnosed with a disability.

We also offer training services for new puppy owners and for companion dog owners wanting help with basic manners or for therapy or visitation dog work.

Thought I’d share some of my Saturday sessions with Limo 😍 Greyhounds don’t like to train for extended periods of time so I make the most of each session and am flexible with what I do! They also don’t like to sit, but it’s good for them to understand the cue 😉 Over the past 8 weeks I have learnt a lot about Limo and we have developed a close bond. I know his new handler will enjoy the same friendship that I have come to have with him 💜🐾🥹

There are a couple of people who will understand why I was so excited about this!!! 🤣 I’ve never had a greyhound I couldn’t teach how to “sit” on cue, but Limo was definitely challenging me 😩😆 It may be six weeks in to our program, but here it finally is 🙌🎉 I think Limo was just as excited as I was 😂 There were zoomies in the dog paddock afterwards 😉💜🐾🐕😝

Boxing Day training 😄 Today Limo got to meet the farm animals! 🪿🐑🐓🐴 🦆 He did so well with so many new sounds, sights and smells!!! He’s also a hit with the kids 🥰💜 We are so lucky to have such awesome neighbours!!! ☺️🐾🐕

Today the shops and streets were bustling in Casino with people getting last minute items for Christmas Day! But Team Chip and I made the most of the distractions to do a public access session 😄🎄 Pretty proud of this team and how well they work together 💜🐾🐕🙌

I would like to take a moment to thank all my beautiful clients, friends, family and followers for supporting me throughout 2024 💝 Having such a wonderful and supportive community around me makes my job just that little bit more special!!! 🥰 I hope you all have a very merry Christmas 🎄 and a safe and happy new year 🥳 I will be taking a short break from 25/12 and will return to training on 7/1. I look forward to seeing everyone and their four legged friends in 2025!!! 🎉🐕🐾😄💜

Sunday sessions with Limo 💜🐾 I have been working with him in multiple locations, both inside and outside this week as well as in public. His recall training and stay are coming along well and his work on “block” has developed nicely ☺️ He has also learnt to wait to be cued to eat and now has great control on stairs (both open tread and closed). I’m pretty proud of this handsome boy!!! 🥹🥰🐕🙌

Today Limo tagged along for Team Bruno’s public access training session so we could do some socialisation and training together as well ☺️ He got to work beside another dog, walked through the supermarket and up and down the busy Main Street. Went into the restrooms and the bottle shop. We practiced control on stairs and walking on different surfaces, as well as ignoring birds, bikes, scooters, prams, children, adults, other dogs and more!!! So proud of this boy 🥰🐾🐕💜

Team Bruno had the added pleasure of working beside Limo today!!! 😄 They hit it off straight away and Bruno was still able to focus on his handler throughout the session. Well done team!!! 👌👏🐕💜🐾

Today I met with lovely Miss Lulu and her family in a new and novel environment, to assess her for suitability as an assistance dog prospect. She did so well with everything I threw at her and had so much fun along the way!!! 😍🐕 I am thrilled to welcome Team Luna into my assistance dog program for 2025!!! 🤩🤗💜🐾
