Having taken the Super Hypos to the extreme whiteness that I have, and how much in demand they have been, a down side is their co dominance. The white gene is so dominant that it takes over in nearly all the morphs it’s paired to. Two, three and four gene visuals end up white
My aim was to produce a white that didn’t contain the super hypo or white northern gene. Developing the Pearl is pretty close to a pure white, only carrying very thin banding in a fluorescent yellow. In time these will hopefully be bred out to achieve a pure white that doesn’t dominate the visual aspect of multiple gene combos.

I was fortunate enough in 2022 to be able to photograph and get genetic material to start genetic sequencing of the only male pied to have been discovered and donated to the Gosford Reptile Park. The rubbish that had been aired publicly about another population was just that, nothing more than an attempt conceal the illegitimacy of its surfacing in private hands. The animal was discovered in 2020 in the Hunter Valley in a suburban back yard. Pure eastern with a unique backs-tripe and a somewhat pied appearance. Unique colour changing of the sides when warm to a beautiful pink, otherwise a white hue. Hets of this male were released to the public. As with the hyper and white northern only a single genetic line has been found.? We are using this genetics to hopefully enhance other unique morphs we have .
