Fun fact: Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroos hail from Papua New Guinea. They are only non-native species at the Sanctuary.

Quick Response Saves Australian Fur Seal
A young Australian Fur Seal is back in the ocean after being rescued by Melbourne Zoo’s Marine Response Unit (MRU).
The seal was spotted by a keen-eyed beachgoer near Frankston’s Oliver’s Hill boat ramp, who noticed a fishing hook and line embedded in its snout and alerted the MRU.
Arriving promptly, the team worked carefully to safely capture the seal and remove the dangerous fishing gear. The seal was then released back into its natural habitat, where it's remarkable ability to heal in saltwater is expected to ensure a speedy recovery.
Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Everyone's favourite 3-month-old rhino calf has made a big splash with his first mud wallow!
After being pushed in by his mum Kipenzi with a foot to the bum, Jabulani decided a good mud roll was a great idea on a hot day 🦏 ☀️
