Dr Brittany has some exciting news!! She is opening a mobile vet business servicing her home town of Maryborough and surrounding areas. So excited for her and wishing her all the best for her new venture. 🐾

Hello! I'm Dr Brittany, the owner and Veterinarian here at Poppies Mobile Vet. I'm a Maryborough girl born and raised, and here to embark on my next adventure. I graduated with my Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2019. After working in clinic initially, I've spent the last 2.5 years working in Telemedicine and as a Mobile Vet. I am now looking forward to opening my own mobile vet servicing the Maryborough region. Within the veterinary field, I have a special interest in behaviour and training. In my spare time I enjoy novel writing, reading and sewing, so keep an eye out for my handmade scrub tops and the articles on my website. I look forward to meeting you all and your adorable pets!

IF IT IS TOO HOT FOR YOU IT IS TOO HOT FOR ME!!
Please be mindful when walking your pet on hot surfaces.
The best way to tell if a pavement is too hot for your dog to walk on is to place the back of your hand on the pavement for seven seconds. If it’s too painful for your hand, then it’s too painful for your dog’s paws. 🥵🥵🐾🐾

Gently move your fingertips through the coat at the level of the skin, feeling for any bumps. Start at the head and neck (don't forget the mouth and ears), continue down the front legs to the paws, checking in between and underneath the toes. Then search the chest, belly, back, tail and back legs.🐾
