To say I’m overwhelmed is an understatement!!!! Thank you to all who have responded to my previous post 🙏…. All the feedback proves I accomplished what I set out to do when i started SS SADDLERY and that was to produce a high quality product that would last for years.
I think I’ve always been kind and offered either a full refund or a solution whenever I’ve made a mistake of any kind with I’m glad to say not too many orders… Christmas time has always been the busiest and most stressful for me and as such is when I do make the odd mistake! To be abused over the past couple of weeks has made me want to give up because I’m a peaceful person with a kind heart.
Anyone wanting to order please do so asap so I can source the materials needed before all suppliers go on their 2-3 week break. Website will be closed down and no further orders taken from 1st January

FROM JANUARY 1st SS SADDLERY WILL NO LONGER MAKE HALTERS!!!
I’ll be going back to rug and track work gear repairs….
The cost of materials I use has risen nearly %100 over the past 18 months. Metal fittings are getting harder to source due to foundries closing all over Asia and no foundries in Australia… there’s just too much stress involved now and I can’t cope with abuse anymore for taking too long to get orders out. I’m about to break at this point so once all the Christmas orders are posted I’ll be closing the website down and serving the Mornington Peninsula for repairs.
I’m sorry it’s come to this but with the price rises for materials and uncertainty of even getting them from my suppliers and the abuse I’m copping is not worth my mental health….
Thank you to everyone who has supported me from such humble beginnings 12 years ago, I’ve appreciated each and everyone of you.

PLEASE BE ASSURED ALL ORDERS ARE BEING MADE AS FAST AS I CAN…. If I don’t answer your messages at this time of year it’s because I’m absolutely flat out in the workshop and can’t be running to the computer to go through and find each individual order and give you an answer as to when it will be ready. It’s only me here doing the whole process on my own so time taken away from making halters only puts everyone’s back even further.
