So it’s been very cold 🥶 this winter so far in Rockhampton with frequent nights below 10 degrees and down to 2 degrees on occasions. Sphynxwillow Pheonix thought he would do his bit and grow himself a winter coat 🧥, well all 5mm x 3mm of it. Nice effort for a sticky bald cat.

This time of the year is so busy for cat lovers and show attendees. However this is one not to be missed and well worth the travel. A hall full of purebred cats from some of the best breeders in Queensland, judges from local to international picking their best cats, rescue cats and companion cats in need of homes for viewing, stalls of cat items and did I say COFFEE and food vans.
So what better way to surround yourself with kitty love at Maryborough Showgrounds 29th and 30th June bring yourself and movie themed fancy dress and have some fun.
What a fantastic day out at Mt Larcom Show, Sir Dobby loved all the attention and cuddles. We visited the rides, stall holders, bar and live music, horses and wood chop, nothing phased him at all and he took it all in his stride. He particularly liked lunch in the form of nacho with cheese and pulled beef. Thanks to my friend Mary West for keeping him warm today in his stylish shirt and Kylie Bird for putting up with me in the poultry pavilion
So this afternoon Sir Dobby and I will be at Mt Larcom Show. If you are looking for pats or just to meet him in person pop along. Ohhh Dobby added “bring treats!!!!!”
We had a ball at the ACF National Cat Show 2024, really enjoyed some of the stalls and it was a home from home for Sir Dobby the House Elf Cat with him using their display Fit 'n' Fun Cat Wheel for his pleasure and amusement. We love fit n fun cat wheels they help keep our cats fit and healthy and burn off those Sphynx zoomies

Rockhampton Agricultural Show

With Rockhampton Show just round the corner and moving faster than my cats heading towards their dinner bowels it is time to come and visit the exhibitors, breeders and rescue people that make all this happen. So pop on down to Rockhampton Shiw and the Cat Exhibition and talk one on one about everything cat related and maybe pick up a new family member.
Well what a ACF National 2024, 3 little hairless cats in their virgin roles traveled on 2 flights and patiently sat in the cold at a show 2000km from home.
All cats were amazing and did so well, snuggle safes worked great at keeping them happy to continue to show. I will put up some more results as I decompress myself but the highlight was definitely this little girl winning Reserve Champion in the shorthair kitten class ring which was out of around 100 cats, Born Bold Raen you are very special, not only are you the daughter to Mr Wrinkles but my favourite colour.
Sir Dobby my forever companion and always by my side was the nicest cat to have around all weekend and made so many people smile, you may not be everyone’s cup of tea because you are an Elf but you are the most loyal, special and gentle little soul.
Today the haul home begins with pack up and flights scheduled from 9am. See you back in Queensland guys, safe travels to anyone who I met along the way.
Day 2 at the Nationals, going to be fun today as still a few roads are closed due to flooding so extra care required with time and our precious load. No photos till after the finals due to fairness of judging etc. so a random sock picture for your mornings entertainment

Today is the day. Our cats heading to the nationals at Sydney are booked in and ready to fly, human slave has had coffee and suitable refreshment so is ready to cart all the stuff across the airport and to our home for the weekend. Thermals are packed for the cats and human so no one is going to be cold.
Fantastic to see new kittens settling in and adjusting so well to their new home. It’s great when the kitten owners trust in the process and time it takes to raise healthy and happy babies. Enjoy your new home Born Bold Sirius aka “Pugsley”
Our cats even if they are humble moggies or purebred pampered pets they are horrendously spoilt. This arrived today and was promptly installed, it’s a thing of beauty and practicality for much needed lookout post.
Entries close on this coming Friday the 31st May for the Rockhampton Agricultural Show Cat Section.
If you are thinking about entering and have any concerns I will be around all week and nights during the week to assist with your entries or questions.
Have no equipment and it’s your first time, we have all been there before. Regional Queensland Cat Club will help out by assisting with cages and curtains and any on the day nerves you might have.
We are an inclusive club and “all cats matter” so we include a fantastic companion section for your moggies aka majestic domestics as well as our pedigree breed section.
Don’t have a cat but would like to snuggle with one or talk to a breeder, come on down between 9 and 5Wednesday to Friday and we can assist with your need for a cat drug fix.
Want to help our rescue group we have an amazing basket available that donations can be made to help support Central Queensland Animal Society, we welcome everything from a dog lead to a tin of food, every little helps.
Today we visited a poultry sale at Ambrose for the CWA. Sir Dobby made new friends and was cuddled by all and I got the chance to sell some of my poultry equipment from breeding ducks.
It was party special as he was cuddled by an 80 year old lady with sight difficulties who had just lost her kitty.
Sir Dobby and Renzo will be at the poultry sale tomorrow with a stall. Renzo is looking for a new mum and dad and hasn’t found his perfect home quite yet so is taking interviews. Sir Dobby will be supervising as usual and begging for treats.

Lovely to see Kurt’s baby who is “Shovel” from previous videos doing so well. This little one had a bit of a rough start as was pushed away by mum, so was hand fed here. He’s doing so well and looks like hes integrated well with existing family members.
Rocco is desperate for his new mum and dad, if anyone out there is wanting a Sphynx at a bargain price I have reduced him to $2000 as he really needs a family of his own especially as he’s on his own.
This boy is still available, going for desex on Friday and available from Monday. He’s so sweet, friendly and social. He really doesn’t want to be on his own do needs to find a new mum or dad. Pm for more details
This beautiful boy hasn’t found a mum or dad yet sadly, he’s ready in 2 weeks after desex on 26th April and would be awesome for a special mum on Mother’s Day. He’s bred by my outstanding Brinze Fouble Grande Champion Born Bold Demetrios (Mr Wrinkles) who has an awesome personality. He’s full of life and is super playful and extremely loving with a come to call personality. Pm for more details. Price is $2750 and flights can be arranged anywhere in Australia.

This is a little Sphynx kitten nicknamed “shovel”. He was pushed out by his brothers at 3 weeks so has had a tough start in life but has found his pot of gold - he lives for his Leaps & Bounds Kitten Mouse. #leapsandboundscatfood
This cat amazes me with his lack of sh*ts for all sorts of situations, when most cats run and hide he takes it all in and on. And yes the vacuum was on full blast #elfcat #sphynx

1 little blue boy still hasn’t found his forever home, he will be ready to go just before Xmas around mid December.
Yesterday was a very important day for a very special family. Julius Cesar found his forever home. This cat has a more than amazing personality so has gone to a family that needs him, the young girl has Autism and her mother has disability issues, so he is going to be a therapy cat a help them. I was at first hesitant but I can honestly say it’s a perfect match. Thank you to Alvin Kathage who drove over 3 hours from Brisbane to drop him off and spend time with the family to make sure he fitted in, Thank you to Sheryl White for organising a start up pack for the kitten and Dogtainers for being patient over flight flexibility and times. To receive this message last night made my day “My daughter is so happy you have made her so very very happy to see my daughter happy is all I want. Thank you so very very much for everything you have done. I appreciate all your kindness and help/support. He is exactly what my daughter needs. It could not have gone any better. I was so worried that I should not have been. I will keep you posted you such a special boy I will be keeping the name you gave him also.” Best outcome for the most special prized Elf boy and the first Dominant Blue Eyed Boy to be sold desexed. I’m hoping that in the future I can do more if this work as these cats and line of breeding are proving to be very special in many ways.
