As summer is in full swing, it’s important to be aware of seasonal hazards that can affect cats and dogs.

Here are some key dangers to watch out for:

Heatstroke: Ensure your pets stay cool and hydrated. Avoid excessive exercise during the hottest parts of the day and never leave them in parked cars.

Fleas and Paralysis Ticks: Regularly search your pets and use preventative treatments, such as BRAVECTO® to keep them protected year-round.

Thunderstorms: Loud noises can be very stressful for pets. Create a safe, quiet space for them and consider calming aids if your pet is particularly anxious.

If you have any concerns or need advice, don’t hesitate to contact us today: Charlestown 02 4943 6066 and Belmont 02 4945 9677.

Keep Your Pets Cool This Summer! ☀️
As the temperatures rise, it’s important to help your pets stay cool and comfortable! Here are a few tips to beat the heat:
Always have fresh water available – dehydration can happen quickly in hot weather.
Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day – early mornings or late evenings are best.
Cool off with a bath or damp towel – gentle cooling can help lower their body temperature.
Provide a cool, shaded spot – make sure your pets have a place to relax away from the sun.
Frozen treats – ice cubes or frozen pet-safe treats can keep them entertained and cool!
Let’s keep our furry friends safe and comfortable this summer! Stay cool, and don’t forget to check on your pets regularly during those hot days. 🐶🐱
