Tick season is in full swing, this video is of a small sized paralysis tick. This paralysis tick may only be small but it could be deadly for your precious pets!
For tick prevention we recommend Nexgard monthly chews for dogs 🐶 and Bravecto spot on for cats 🐱 which is used 3 monthly. ✅
Tick Symptoms can include:
•Wobbly/weakness in the hind legs.
•Change in bark/meow.
•Difficulty breathing.
•Retching, coughing or vomiting.

•Collapsed.
If your pets are showing any of these symptoms or you find a tick on your pet, please contact us immediately.
Also keep in mind that dogs & cats can still get paralysis ticks (even if they don’t go outside) make sure you have up to date prevention on them too!

How do I keep my dog's teeth clean? Part 2!
Daily dental treats are a great way to clean teeth while also providing enrichment!
It is important to make sure your pet chews these treats well, rather than chomping them into a few pieces and swallowing them - the cleaning is all in the chewing!
There are many options available, but our favourites are Oravet chews for dogs, and Greenies for cats.
The traditional dental treat has always been raw bones, but these need to be approached with caution. Dogs in particular can break teeth on bones or swallow inappropriately large chunks, so any bone chewing should be carefully supervised, and cooked bones should never be given.
For this month, we are providing free nurse dental checks, and with any dental procedure we are offering:
- a free bottle of Oxyfresh water additive
- a free 3 pack of Oravet chews with the purchase of any large Oravet pack
- 50% off Royal Canin dental food for up to 2 bags
How do I keep my dog's teeth clean?
Brushing your dog's (or cat's!) teeth is the best way to keep their pearly whites in tip top shape!
Brushing can be performed using a tooth brush (either a baby brush or a pet specific brush) and flavoured paste or Oxyfresh gel.
Sometimes this can be a bit overwhelming to start with, so a good starting point for training your dog or cat to accept brushing is using a piece of gauze to gently rub the teeth- check out this video of little Hooch demonstrating how this is done!
For the month of May, we are providing free nurse dental checks, and with any dental procedure we are offering:
