During the summer months, we all love to keep cool - and that includes our dogs 🐶

Summer is coming ☀️ As the weather warms up and we head outdoors more, how can we protect our best mates from ticks and fleas?
While fleas can cause irritation, paralysis ticks can be very dangerous to your best mate's health. Be sure to keep up to date with administering a veterinary-approved flea and/or tick product to protect them, in addition to checking their bodies over daily.
As there are many preventative products available, speak to your veterinarian to find the best product suited to your dog or cat's needs.
Swimming ability often depends on your dog's breed and structure.
While some breeds such as Golden Retrievers and Poodles are natural and enthusiastic swimmers, breeds such as French Bulldogs or Pugs' body types may not allow them to swim very well unassisted. This means that they may do best with a doggy swim vest if they love the water.
Regardless, always remember to supervise your mate in the water!
