A great tip for the up coming months and a good reminder to always clean/rinse and dry your bit after every ride ✨ Your horse will thank you!
Oxidization & Humidity Alert!
Extreme humidity can ramp up the oxidization process in your Bombers sweet iron bits. While this process is normal (it actually increases salivation therefore bit acceptance) it can be a bit of a shock if this is your first summer with a sweet iron bit!
You can slow down this process by ensuring your bit is cleaned after every ride and stored in a cool dry environment.
Sponsored rider Jaimie Stichel Eventing & Pre Training is offering an exciting chance to win some Christmas goodies including a $40 voucher off the RRP of a Bombers bit of your choice. Check out her page for details to win!

🌟Equine Bit Fit Australia Sponsored and Ambassador Riders 2023 Highlights 🌟
As 2023 comes to a close it is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the amazing achievements of our sponsored team.
Natasha Cockburn
Tash has had a huge competition year this year with Frankie (Wilkara Funomenal ) competing at DJWTS as a 4 yr old and Noodle (Coldstream Ulysses) competing for the 2nd time at the Australian Dressage Championships and qualifying for his freestyle, he also made it onto the Dressage SA high performance squad. In addition to these brilliant performances Tash was the extremely worthy recipient of the Lindy Wright Memorial Award (this annual prestigious award recognises individuals striving for excellence in Dressage in South Australia). Well done Tash- Huge Congratulations 🎉
Heather Ford
Heather’s highlights have included her young horse Henry going out and doing his first novice tests, scoring mid 60’s on limited outings and her and Tuscany competing in their first 2* event. This accomplishment was made even more special as Tuscany came back from a very serious colic episode straight into her first 2* competition. Heather and Tuscany also competed at Sydney International 3DE. They are now qualified for 3* and are on track to debut at this level in 2024. Well done Heather.
Danni Hampton
Danni’s highlights are placing 4th on Ollie in the Speed Class in the Part 3 Class at the Royal Adelaide Show and having Dylan step up to 1* eventing, (placing 2nd at his first start) SJ 110-115cm (Placing 5th in the 110 Championship Class at the Strathalbyn SJ Club Jim Dunn Memorial Show in November) and qualifying for 2*. Fantastic results Danni.
Jaimie Stichel
Jamie has had a very busy year with her team. Her highlights include Reynella Horse Trials 1* placing 3rd on Kenlock Super Salute and 4th on Toto Wolf J. Milang Horse Trials 1* placing 3rd on Toto Wolf J and Ballarat Horse Trials CCI 2* placing 10th on Toto Wolf J. Great work Jaimie.
Courtney Munro
Courtney has also been very busy with her team and her biggest highlight this year is her and Trevor competing in their first CCN1*L in his debut Eventing season. Fantastic achievement well done.

Equine Bit Fit Australia
An accumulation of years of experience in the equine industry (working and competing) and formal training has led to a sound and educated knowledge base in fitting a bit to the horses anatomical shape and mouth/head sensitivities. Having an Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Horse Husbandry and Management) and being a qualified Veterinary Nurse and a Registered Nurse I have an excellent understanding of anatomy and skeletal function and movement. My fitting sessions work on the Bombers philosophy that
Pressure = Resistance
Resistance = Lack of control
Each individual bit fitting session is approximately 1 ½ hrs. The fitting session is comprised of three parts. The first part comprises of documenting your horse’s history and under taking an assessment, examination and width measurement of your horse’s mouth and jaw. From there I will look at the bit you have been using and ask that you ride in your existing bit to assess how your horse travels. Taking all this into account I will then work with you to have you trial a selection of Bombers bits with the ultimate aim to find a bit that your horse readily accepts and travels forward, relaxed and comfortably in. A happy horse requires the correct bit to support their ability to perform at their very best. Ultimately as horse owners and riders we all just want our horses to be happy and a ‘Bit Fit horse is a Happy Horse’.
I am available for individual sessions or clinics. Price is dependent on location. Please don't hesitate to contact me for a consultation price.
