🐰Calling all Rabbit Owners🐰

As a part of the rabbit control program on Playles Hill in Corryong, Rabbit Calicivirus is going to be released in the very near future.

Vaccination is available for pet rabbits over the age of 10 weeks. If you are interested in getting your rabbit vaccinated, please contact Corryong Vet Services as soon as possible to book in.

Protection from the vaccination will take 7 days to fully develop once the vaccination has been administered.

Calicivirus is a highly contagious virus that is spread through the faeces, urine, oral & nasal secretions of infected rabbits. Spread can also occur through contact with contaminated objects such as clothing, husbandry equipment and insects.

Signs of Calicivirus include lethargy, inappetence, gut stasis and sudden death.

Thinking of heading over to the coast with your beloved pet? Make sure that your pet is protected from Paralysis Tick when you are on your holiday.

This Paralysis Tick hitched a ride home on a dog after a visit to the coast a few weeks back. Lucky the dog had been administered a Paralysis Tick prevention treatment and the Tick was dead when we found it and there was no ill effects for the dog from the Tick.

Paralysis Ticks are not found around Corryong.

When a Paralysis Tick attaches to an animal, it can result in sustaining a life threatening paralysis if not treated.

If you have any questions about Paralysis Tick and Tick prevention products, please dont hesitate to contact the clinic.

Today is International Dog Day.
Dogs play a huge role in our lives, they are our friends, our work buddies, our confidants, our family.
Our lives would be very empty if we did not have dogs in them.

We unfortunately we have misplaced a couple of our cat cages. If you have borrowed a cage from us, could you please return to Corryong Vets. If we are closed it can be left outside the front door.
