About us

Since a young boy growing up in Turkey in the 60’s, these beautiful creatures have been in my blood. Not a day went by that I didn’t seek them out . It wasn’t until the early 90’s in Australia that I had the priviledge of one owning me. Then 2 ,then 3. These 3 were from the orginal imports into Australia.

First came “Turk” Stockguard Rahin. Turk was 9 months old when he came to live with me from Tony Possenger in Nundle

Then came “Oyna” Hillsborough Havali Oyna . She was 6 months when coming to live with me from Mrs Bell in Maitland.

Then came Cala . Cala was 10 years old when she came to live out her days with me. This girl was among the first few imports into Australia . Cala came from Tony Possenger in Nundle.

I will go in to each dogs story later . All 3 lived out their days at Broodiful Farm ,protecting chooks, sheep and horses with out incident .

Due to life circumstances, a broken heart and a desire to return to Turkey it was to be many years before I was blessed to have my beautiful Turkish shepherd dogs again.

Never giving up on my love for these dogs I again began to search the country for my dogs. It was a 2 year search . ( I wasn’t up with the internet then.) I knew what I wanted and was over the moon to find Zara. Not long after finding Zara , Sivas was looking for a new home so I took him in. Then Zorro (Zara,s brother) needed to be rehomed so he came to live at Broodiful Farm. Some months later Brandi was looking for a loving home and you guessed it ..I took her in. I am now content, I have my farm security team.

This time round I want to breed my beautiful dogs . Masallah .I began this process through MDBA to become a registered breeder .I want to breed stock guardian dogs ,this is their true calling .So here I am beginning a new journey ,sharing my knowledge and beliefs to ensure they remain true to breed and ensuring I protect these beautiful creatures long into the future.

I will finish off by saying I am extremely passionate about this breed and will do all I can to protect them and ensure the community is educated correctly about them. I make no apoligies if this puts me off side with other breeders or owners.
