Friends of the Pound is an organisation dedicated to rescue and re-home as many impounded cats and dogs in the Tweed Heads local pound as possible. We work to improve conditions at the local Tweed Shire Pound for the animals, and to promote and encourage responsible pet ownership while raising awareness within the community towards this endeavour. We are a team of dedicated volunteers who donate our time and other resources to ensure the welfare of pets in our local area.
To rescue and re-home as many homeless and/or abandoned dogs and cats from the Tweed and surrounding areas as possible.
