Assistance K9 partners and trains assistance dogs for those with physical disabilities; dogs to help mitigate the effects of developmental conditions such as autism; psychiatric conditions such as post-traumatic stress di

sorder; and some medical conditions such as epilepsy and diabetes. Funding comes from the individuals and their families, generosity of individuals in the community, corporations, foundations, businesses, and community organizations. The Assistance K9 team

Once individuals make the decision to get an assistance dog, applicants become part of Assistance K9 open and welcoming community. Training sessions with Assistance K9 teams are private or kept small to ensure personalized attention for each assistance dog handler. Over the course of the time spent with us, the handler and dog bond and learn how to work together as a team. They are supported with an uncompromising commitment to excellence, from highly empathetic and certified trainers to a meticulously constructed training program.
