EXCITING NEWS! 🙌

Over the coming months you'll see IVA and Vettr will come together to form VetFamily Australia. With close to 400 members together, we believe that we will be able to give you more value for your membership.

As you know, IVA was acquired in 2021 by VetFamily. At the time VetFamily was a group of 2,600 clinics in eight countries - today the group consists of over 7,000 clinics in 11 countries. In April 2023, Vetfamily acquired Vettr, a member services platform for veterinary clinics based in Brisbane. Our plan was always to merge the two groups in order to bring even greater value to our members.

IVA members have already seen the benefit of the VetFamily ownership with new and improved partnership agreements with our key supplier partners and new revenue generating partners!

For now, watch this space... we'll be in touch soon to share details of VetFamily Australia. 😄

Yesterday, our IVA Members were invited to have their team join a session hosted by our partner VetCheck on Optimising Inpatient Care for Vet Nurses.

Beyond the amazing rebates our members get access to, we offer ongoing training and education for not only practice owners, but their teams!

This is just one example where IVA Members can encourage their vet nurses to join a 1-hour session and walk away with improved treatment outcomes and client satisfaction for their clinic. An all round successful result!

Last year, IVA, with the support of our partners, hosted a great initiative of a Scholarship Program for selected Members. We're sharing some great feedback from a few recipients we interviewed!

Meet Isabella, who completed the Customer Intelligence Program, thanks to our wonderful partner, Boehringer Ingelheim 🤩

Isabella is a vet nurse from Belrose Veterinary Hospital and says:

"I would very likely recommend this course as it was very informative and applicable to clinic life. The coaching sessions were tailored to each individual and their clinic's specific needs. This helped me to get the most out of the course to apply to my workplace.

I learned that I need to put myself in the position of the client more often - this helps me to better understand their needs and expectations."

A few months back, some select Vet Nurses from our IVA Member community were offered scholarships to complete 2023 'Customer Service Intelligence Program' hosted by Crampton Consulting and sponsored by our partners Virbac, MSD and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Upon completion, we interviewed the cohort to see how they went! Here is a snippet of feedback from one of our lovely recipients.

"The training was comprehensive and informative without being too overwhelming. The information was presented in a way that was engaging and easy to stay focused on without losing interest. I also loved the coaching sessions as they provided me with an opportunity to bounce ideas off staff in a same learning environment to me which created topics and conversations that I would have thought of on my own."

A Better Result for Independent Practices

IVA harnesses the purchasing power of over one hundred and fifty Australian vets. IVA member practices currently range from mobile practices, one, two and three vet practices to multi-practice groups who are situated all around Australia. Each IVA Member practice is independent and has their own unique vision of practice ownership. As such, each IVA Member practice uses IVA’s collegial purchasing power, multifaceted foundations and partnerships in a unique way to strengthen their practice in their own way.

As a cooperative for independent veterinary practices, IVA allows independent veterinary practices to level the playing field with the growing number of corporate-owned practices and big box pet stores entering the market in Australia. IVA has negotiated greatly enhanced levels of support from key supplier partners to help make member practices not only more profitable but also easier and more satisfying to own and operate.
