I have one little puppy that still has not found his perfect home. Little Locomotion is a working cocker spaniel, suited to an active home as these guys have high energy levels. They respond best when they can be with you as a part of your family and trained with kindness. They just want to be your best friend and have fun.
He is the sweetest of boys. Easy to train, easy to cuddle. He is 8 weeks old and ready to find his family.

So I did a 'thing' on the weekend...
After 18 months of supportive training and mentoring, I passed my Agility Judges exam.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the program - from the Vic Agility committee, the clubs that allowed us to practice judge, and the competitors who ran for us.
I look forward to repaying your trust ❤️

I spent the weekend being part of an amazing team of professionals to pull off another successful Tintern Grammar Horse Trials. Congratulations to all teams who took part. Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors.

I will be having a few days maternity leave soon, as my very own, and very special dog Disco, has her puppies. The count down is on and I am very nervously excited!

Puppy room set up and Disco is choosing to spend time in there and chill 🥰

Our puppies are raised in a room connected to our lounge and kitchen so they get full life exposure. Plus I can keep an eye on them!

The gates are there as an added security and for Disco's piece of mind for when the doors are left open, the other dogs can see but not touch the puppies.

Here's some awesome feedback from Shannon, who worked at gold with Olive in my last class:

I took Fit to Jump as my first gold class this fall, it’s the first class I’ve ever kept up with for the whole 6 weeks and continued with workouts twice a week all winter. I also think it has helped both my dogs so much with their core strength, I am true believer in fitness work for dogs now. If you are thinking about it and not sure, I’d highly recommend doing it for the so helpful feedback from Kelly and motivation factor!

I teach all my dogs that paw holding is a required thing.
Helpful for when I need to mobilise the digits, look for grass seeds, or in this case, use the nail grinder to trim her nails. As you can see, although Freestyle is not exactly comfortable with me using the nail grinder, she is consenting. Good girl.

I keep sessions short, and lots of rewards. Start with just holding the paws one at a time. Then on another session, building on to touching one toe at a time. Till eventually you can isolate and run your fingers down each to and nail.
Desenstising to getting the nails cut or using the grinder is a whole process on its own for another day 🤔

Sometimes the release takes a little time, but it always comes in the end.

Releases are not always big like this boy, sometimes they are just a blink of the eye, or a nod, like in the end of this clip.

After over 20 years of treating horses I have probably seen them all 🐎

Left the arena and hitting the trail tonight.
So good for young horses. So much to see, learning to cope with the unexpected as well as great for the body.
We may have only walked but did get tired enough to stop spooking I was able to walk back on a long loose rein.

Today was a very weird day for me and I don't mind admitting to having a leaky eye moment.
End if the school year and two milestones.

Alyssa finished her Year 12 studies with a fabulous and well earned ATAR. So its off to University for her

And Robbie graduated Primary Year 6, so it's high school for him next year.

So proud of both of them 💓 💗
