What a lovely surprise when logging on to reply to emails today!! ( especially when I didn't even know we were in the running!)

No matter where we are training or visiting in Australia, from the little towns to the big cities, we are so appreciative of all of our customers, local communities and councils and the support we receive.

This is beautiful Natalia. She is a 2 year old Rottie and full of beans! Natalia was a rescue who unfortunately didn't have the best start to her life, but over the past 12 months she has been working with James (slowly between all the other dogs he is busy training) to help her overcome her anxiety and build confidence in humans. There is no overnight solution to training a dog, but with consistently even if you don't have much time each day - results will show!

Had a great day over the weekend up the Sunshine Coast supporting 4 Paws Animal Rescue Inc at their Santa paws in the park event!! James joined us and gave a “Pawsome” obedience demo! The owner of the wonderful pooch that was volunteered wasn’t confident the dog would do well, but he performed immaculately 😊 it goes to show - with the right equipment, used the right way, the right message to the dog and the a patient handler - training will be a lot easier!
James is heading back to NSW next week, and we only have Limited availability for both QLD and NSW left in August. Today, the face of Pawsome Puppies, Hugo lost a battle he was having in silence with cancer.
Today, James and our whole team didn't just lose a mate, we lost a family member.
While we grieve this immense and unexpected loss, we will be taking some time off. For those who we need to reschedule training for, if we haven't already, we will be in contact and for anyone who gets in contact with us, we will do out best to get back to you as soon as possible.

We are so humbled for our amazing dog behaviourist James to be up the Sunshine Coast walking with 91.9 SEA FM to raise money for Inclusive Kids.

This epic 12 hour walk is aimed at putting shoes on the feet of vulnerable children who, by no fault of their own are missing out on the basics.

Shoes may seem like something insignificant to the average person, but for a child living on or below the poverty line, or missing out for various other reasons, it can mean the difference between fitting in or not, being bullied or not and staying in school or not!!!

You can help too!!!

$25 puts a pair of shoes on a child's feet - but EVERY CENT COUNTS!!! Pawsome Puppies Pet Sitting is hiring!!

We are currently looking for house/pet sitters in all areas!

About the role
This role is 100% in the client’s home, you are not required to have pets at your house, however you need to be comfortable being alone in clients’ homes overnight (you cannot bring pets of your own, kids, family/friends or anyone who is not named in the contract to attend the premises)
Although our animal clients are definitely fun and adorable, this role is more than just playing with puppies all day. As a house and pet sitter, you must be very reliable, safety-minded and responsible with the pets and homes under your care.

This is a sub-contractor position with fixed daily rates

You would be required to do overnight stays in client’s homes for one or multiple nights including weekdays, weekends and public holidays

About you
This role would be well suited to someone looking for extra income and have no responsibilities at their own home!
You love animals of all breeds, pet sitting is not just dogs, we have looked after cats, fish, birds, horses, farm animals – even lizards!

You have great communications skills and access to your own mobile phone or tablet with camera and internet to send daily updates!

You are reliable and trustworthy - clients rely on us to care for their pets for a stress-free time away from home - that means no last-minute cancellations!

You are physically fit – dog walking may be part of your stay and you are required to be able to handle different breeds

You are friendly, approachable and have a genuine passion for looking after people’s homes and pets!

You have, or are able to obtain a current ABN (this is free to obtain, and we can assist you with this if required)

You have, or are willing to obtain a current Criminal History Check

You have a current valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle that will be with you at the client’s property in case of an animal emergency

You have previous experience with animals – the more the better!

You are comfortable cleaning up after animals, you are tidy and clean up after yourself and you don’t mind taking bins out and collecting mail as required during your stay

You have good availability – especially during holiday periods and are open to last minute jobs

MODEL CALL!!!

Do you have a puppy that would love to feature as doggy model on our website?

We are looking for a puppy (16 to 20 weeks old on January 10th) to come along for a photoshoot with our trainers to get some new website images.

Conditions; Puppy must be available for the shoot on Monday 10th January - weather dependent (puppy owner does not need to be there if unavailable, as long as we are able to have access to the dog we are able to collect and return to your premises). All images will be kept as rights of Pawsome Puppies and a media release will need to be signed by the owner of the dog. The dog MUST be fully vaccinated as most images will be taken outdoors and proof of vaccination will need to be sighted by Pawsome Puppies staff. The team will do a behavioural assessment prior to the shoot to ensure that your dog will be suitable for the photo session.

What you get in return; As a thank you for your pooches participation, we will send you copies of the photos your puppy featured in, and you will be able to choose one of the following:

1. Training pack - as a thank you, we invite you to choose a 3 hour puppy behavioural training session with our master trainer James (valued at $150) The session will address any behavioural problems that you may have as well as prevent any problems developing as your puppy grows up. James will also cover obedience and give you general training advice for your puppy's development based on your puppy's personality. All training is done in the comfort of your home (session times available weekdays only and do not include any training equipment or other services)

2. Equipment pack - if you have puppy training sorted and you prefer to have a thank you equipment pack you will receive - 1 x training collar - professionally fitted to your puppy, 1 x 2.2m training lead in the colour of your choice, 1 x 10m recall lead, 1 x bag of Pawsome Puppies 100% beef liver treats and a half an hour fitting and equipment training session to ensure that you and your puppy get the most out of the equipment (total value up to $140)
