We are incredibly grateful to Wilhelm Labraddell labs for taking our prized pooch, Milou, also known as CH Kyden Diamond Kutter, on an epic 3500km round trip journey to Victoria for the exclusive Vic Lab club specialty show. We extend our best wishes to all our Queensland friends and hope they have a fantastic experience at the show!

Finn and Rivers puppies have arrived 4 dark chocolate and 4 light yellow. All very active and healthy a couple have already hit the 1/2 kg milestone on day two. Mum is doing well and attentively looking after them.

Been a big weekend one that I will remember for a long time, Anzac services have that effect and are special days for me.
Sat and Sun we entered the SSAA WGAA United Field and Retrieving trials with Leo and Milou.
Sat in the test stake Leo did his best but didn't pass his 2nd retrieve so was knocked out I felt his pain when he returned dejected with no artificial bird for his pack leader. Milou passed all 3 retrieves and was awarded 1st place in the test stake. Won an incredibly well-made engraved cheese board. So stoked I can go home very happy now. Leo must have had a real nightmare about coming back empty handed/mouthed.....

Sunday: The Anzac Trial
Leo really turned it on with 3 very good passes, he took out first place in the test stake, and to our pleasant surprise was the highest point-scoring dog from all classes, test, Intermediate, Advanced and Open trials he was awarded a place on the prestigious Anzac perpetual trophy, For Leo "Ch Kyden Carved In Stone" to be engraved on this prestigious trophy is an absolute honour.

Special thanks to Ron and Cathy for your support training and guidance to countless amounts of people who have encouraged us and offered advice. To the club for putting on the event, Tom for inviting us, Margrett and Greg for the Prizes. Credit for the Pics Rad Miramon thanks for the memories and great shots.

To my boy Leo you did me proud and all those afternoons training were worth it.

Been a big week Leo got his last 2 points in the show ring so will now qualify for the title Australian champion (pending)

Then to top it off I had my first go entering a competition dog sport. I entered RATG which for the uninitiated is a simulated hunting experience crossed with some obedience, the type of obedience that would be handy with loaded weapons and skittish Game one might find during a hunt.

The results

Aust Ch (pending) Kyden Carved in Stone qualified 76 out of 100 not bad for his first go.

And the show stopper Milou Aust CH Kyden Diamond Kutter with an impressive 97 points out of 100 and receiving 3rd place in the novice section. Very happy owner, trainer, breeder.

Massive thanks to Cathie and Ron Jackson and Sharon Bamford for putting on your training days, a very valuable resource.

Thanks to the Lab club for putting on the event thanks to Nikki Turner for organising everything thanks to the judge Mrs Georgina Golle and most of all to everyone that cheered and clapped the competitors, something so simple Is so important it lifts the spirits, lightens the mood and makes you feel part of the group.

Kylie, Montana and I went and visited Bentleys puppies at Arwyndale labs yesterday. What a great job Arwyndale have done. Not only in producing nice healthy good looking puppies but also more importantly well adjusted mentally. (Couple of tests you can do) imho it’s very important and helps future proof your puppy for training and anxiety issues.(this is the greatest benefit from buying from small breeders vrs puppy mills)
Toilet training and socialising was well underway.
Tactile conditioning done.
There are 2 very lovely puppies left and one is a very solid handsome chocolate boy that really stood out to me. His going to be something special.
Well done to Arwyndale and congratulations to all the impending new fur baby families you are all very lucky.

Our stud dog Bentley is now a proud dad to a lovely rainbow litter 3 Yellow 3 black and 3 Chocolate. As we bred the bitch and have seen her grow up we can verify that both dogs have the gentlest of nature as well as stunning looks.
