That's right, this sweet 15-year-old boy had a dental procedure costing over $1000, and now he’s toothless. The silver lining? He’ll never need another dental appointment—talk about a win! And did you know that cats can live quite happily without teeth! Kappy still loves his biscuits as well as his wet food, and now without the pain from his bad teeth he’s one happy Kappy.

Kappy's got a lot of love to give and no teeth to nibble with, making him the perfect cuddle buddy. He'll rush over to you for a snuggle and purr up a storm to show his happiness. Despite his senior status, Kappy is full of affection and charm that can brighten anyone's day.

Kappy is looking for a loving indoor home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort and security. His previous owners had to move overseas, leaving this sweet boy in need of a new family who can appreciate his unique charm and toothless grin.

FOSTER CARER NEEDED

We have 5 x 7 week old kittens that need to come in to care as part of our Last Litter Program.
This program is a vital community service but it is dependent on two things:
1. Foster carers
2. Sponsors
All of our carers are at capacity and we're unable to assist this family unless we can find a foster carer that is happy to foster the whole litter until the kittens are adopted.

UPDATE: "Baxter" has been adopted!

Meet “Baxter” our 9 year old choccy Burmese! 💙😻💙

“Baxter” was surrendered to us earlier this month by his previous owner. Unfortunately, due to living circumstances, they could no longer look after “Baxter”. “Baxter” is an extremely friendly and affectionate boy who absolutely loves every person he meets. With his laid back personality and desire for head rubs, he has quickly become everyone's best friend at the surgery. “Baxter” is definitely one of a kind and can’t wait to find another loving home where he’ll be treated like an absolute king. In his previous household, “Baxter” lived happily with older children and was the only pet in the home. If you’re interested in meeting this handsome boy, please call us on 3264 7700 to arrange a time! The surgery is open weekdays from 8am until 6:30pm and Saturdays from 8am until 4pm.

Adoption Cost:
“Baxter’s” adoption fee is $250. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked. He also comes with his pedigree papers.

Currently at The Cat Clinic Brisbane with Squeaky and Lyssa. Squeaky's been very stressed while Lyssa has been in hospital and it's sent his BP sky high. It was borderline having to go on meds at his last senior check so he will definitely be starting them now. Thankfully the Mt Gravatt clinic, where their hospital is, had an appointment today so I could get him checked out and pick up Lyssa at the same time. Lyssa is currently purring away next to me while we wait for them to bring Squeaky back from having his bloods taken (they are doing his senior check too)

Today I met the lovely Millie and her Mum Max. 😊 Millie is a 15 yo Scottish Fold who is having trouble maintaining her coat due to arthritis and she had developed lots of little mats, particularly on her inner thighs and belly. The Scottish Fold's coat is quite dense so it takes a lot more work for a kitty to maintain than your average shorthaired cat's coat does. Thankfully Millie's mats were still quite loose and could be combed out rather than needing to be clipped off. I also gave her a really good de-shed so she's now feeling a lot lighter and sleeker. 😊 Looking forward to seeing you again in a few weeks Millie 🩷 Nb If you're wondering what the green thing is it's an E-collar that I use sometimes if a cat is a little bit nippy. Unlike those weird space helmets you might have seen advertised the E-collar has a sort of scalloped shape at the neck so it doesn't put pressure on a cats throat. It's also adjustable so it can be tightened or loosened as needed and can be undone in seconds #catgrooming #brisbanecatgroomer #thecatspyjamas

Who says seniors aren't playful. My boy Squeaky, who turned 13 in February, testing out a new toy for me 😁
