This is ‘Cindy’ the beautiful girl who is looking for a new home. She is quite shy but definitely warms to you quickly & loves a snuggle. She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated & has just had her teeth cleaned. Please reach out if you are interested, we are happy to organise a trial overnight or weekend stay.
We have a beautiful tortie cat that is looking for her new forever home. ‘Cindy’is a young desexed female who has had all of her vet work done, she is a little shy but does warm up to people as she feels more comfortable. If you know of a loving cat person who is looking for a new family member please reach out. We will do a photo shoot early next week & post some glamour shots🐱
So you all know & love Pablo……..unfortunately the cold weather seems to have made him cranky😠
Pablo has been caught in the act biting if his demands for food from the treat container aren’t met. We know how charming he is but please don’t feed him, he needs to learn some manners or he will be banished from reception!
Please remember to update your pets details if your circumstances have changed. If you have welcomed a puppy or kitten into your family don’t forget to change the details from the breeder to you. We can always help you with this if needed.

Easter is nearly upon us, so please remember to check that you have enough medication/food if you are heading off for a break. We will be closing at 5pm on Thursday the 28/3 & we open again on Tuesday 2/4 so if you need a refill please organise this before we close.

Are you pets up to date with their vaccinations? With the Easter break on its way & if your pet is going to a boarding facility they will need to be up to date.
VACCINE SHORTAGE
Unfortunately we are still unable to access any cat vaccines. We have been advised that it may be another 2 months before any become available.
This is the case with all the vets in SE QLD.
This is going to be tricky for those cats needing to board over the Easter break, contact your boarding facility to check on their procedures & protocols.
We will endeavour to contact all of our cat clients as soon as our ordered stock arrives. Again we are very sorry for this inconvenience but unfortunately it is out of our control.
HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY to us!
Dr Tim & his wife Jenny opened the surgery on the 1st February 1999 along with their daughter Molly (who was 10 mths old) at 505 Warwick Rd, they then moved to a bigger premises 468 Warwick Rd in 2003. Two major extensions have taken place in this time.
Dr Tim & staff would like to thank all of our wonderful clients & their pets, past & present for their unwavering support. As a team led by a very passionate man who always has everyone’s best interests at heart, we would like to congratulate you on this wonderful achievement.

An update on ‘Floyd’
Floyd was diagnosed with diabetes at 12yrs old last June. He visits us regularly for glucose monitoring & health checks & is doing so well thanks to his devoted dad & younger sister ‘Bailey’
Diabetes can be tricky to manage in any age dog so a big shout out to ‘Floyd’ for being such a good patient, he’s always a gentleman when he comes in for visits 🐶💉❤️

We have had several dogs brought into the surgery after escaping their yards during the storms we’ve been experiencing over the last couple of weeks.
Please check that your pets microchip details are up to date, this makes it so much easier to locate you & reunite you with your pet.
If you are unsure if your details are up to date we can look up your information here & help you register the correct details.
And don’t forget to make sure your pet has a safe, secure place to be when storms are predicted.

Christmas is nearly here….Pablo & Hazel are getting excited🎄
With only 6 weeks until the Silly Season….please remember to check that your pets are up to date with any vaccinations before booking into boarding facilities. Also check they have enough medication & food as we will be closed between 23rd December 2023 - 2nd January 2024.
WOW……so far this week we have had numerous cases of TICK paralysis & SNAKE bites!
PLEASE be vigilant, if your animals aren’t on tick prevention, remember to check them over thoroughly every day. We have many products to prevent ticks on both cats & dogs, we can help you out with recommendations.
Snake bites are a little more tricky….. try & keep your yards free from debris & clutter so they can’t hide 🫣
Symptoms can include, salivating, collapse or wobbly gait plus unusual behaviour. If in doubt please call the Surgery ASAP.

As Saturdays are becoming increasingly busy, we ask that if you need a repeat of medication to please call on a weekday. As demonstrated by Pablo, we need a vet to approve the repeat before dispensing the medication, this is difficult to do on Saturdays with limited staff. Ordering during the week allows us to get your medication ready quicker and easier 🤩 Hope you enjoy nurse Pablo at work 🐈⬛❤️
Due to the renovations, we have had to temporarily close our hydrobath. We will advertise when it reopens 🛁✨
The surgery is currently undergoing renovations to extend the back of the clinic for more kennel space 👷🏻♀️🛠 The clinic is still business as usual, however, there is a temporary fence along the back of the clinic. The back car park is still accessible but please do not move or damage the fencing 🙂
Severe storms are expected more frequently coming into storm season⛈ Please make sure your pets have a safe space to relax throughout the storm. Double check your pet’s microchip details in case they escape🐱🐶
