🚨 Heat Stroke in Dogs: Know the Signs! 🚨

As temperatures rise, it's important to be aware of the signs of heat stroke in dogs, a serious condition that can happen quickly and without warning. 🌞🐾

Signs to watch for:

🌡️ High body temperature
💦 Excessive panting or drooling
❤️ Rapid breathing or heart rate
😴 Weakness or lethargy
💩 Vomiting or diarrhea
🦷 Bright red or pale gums
🤯 Staggering or confusion

If your dog shows any of these symptoms, act fast: Move them to a cooler area, offer small amounts of water, and contact your vet immediately.

Our gorgeous little Messina is spending the night with the amazing Canberra Veterinary Emergency Services team with suspected pneumonia 😔.

His carer noticed he was breathing rapidly which is a sympton of illness and took him to the wonderful Canberra Cat Vet team who immediately started him on oxygen therapy and antibiotics.

As Messina was requiring oxygen, the awesome Pet Ambulance Services transported him to CVES where he remains on oxygen tonight.

You can do this Messina! We are all behind you so hear our wishes for a speedy recovery little one!

Santa going to great lengths this year to make sure all creatures great and small have a safe and merry Xmas. Please remember limited numbers of Veterinary professionals are servicing the region over the holiday period. That's a lot of potential patients for limited staff. Please be respectful to them if you have long wait times! Be assured they are all doing their utmost to help your pets in what may be trying circumstances!

Dear followers,

The inflationary process post the Covid Pandemic has finally forced our hand into a price increase for our services. It has been two years since our last rise and as much as we have tried to absorb the increased running costs we can no longer afford to do so. Sadly it has come to a choice of closing the doors or passing on the costs in an attempt to keep the service viable for the community.
