With lots of trucks and cars passing by, I wanted to make sure he was dialed in and ready to be on his best behavior.

Recently, while in Mareeba, Watson practiced at the North Queensland Working Horse Association. Surrounded by horses and cows—things he doesn't find particularly exciting—he was able to listen and hold his position beautifully! This kind of training is invaluable for building confidence and focus in new environments. Keep up the great work, Watson! 🐶❤️
This was his first time seeing horses and cows and we're very lucky that Bob is such a calm horse to just stand there and not care.

🐾✨ Last week was Week 7 of our Beginners Obedience Course, and Everyone is getting ready for Graduation which is today! 🎓
This week marked a huge milestone as our pups tackled duration under distraction for the first time. With two trainers walking around them, we focused on creating a calm environment without pressure, and the results were nothing short of incredible! It’s amazing to see so many dogs holding their positions, especially considering this class started with a lot of barking, pulling, and excitement.
We're especially proud of Snoopy, the sausage dog! 🐶 He used to come into class barking and lunging, but this week, he stayed in a drop position through multiple laps of exercises. It’s a testament to the hard work everyone has put in, especially since many of these dogs know the trainers personally, making it even more challenging for them to stay focused.

🐾 Hey, everyone! 🎥 Here’s a super informal sneak peek of Obi and Taylor working through some of Obi's anxiety during their training session! You often see Obi having a blast in videos, but trust me, there’s so much hard work behind the scenes to help him build confidence.
Obi is incredibly sensitive—just a slight change, like a moving piece of equipment or a loud noise, can really affect him. It’s been a journey getting him to where he is today, and it takes a lot of adjustments to ensure he's set up for success. If something goes awry, he needs that confidence to try again, but he can struggle with failure. He might shut down or get a bit frustrated if he doesn’t get things right.
This was about 5 minutes into their training session, and we didn’t capture the beginning, but you can see the progress they’re making!
