If you have a 7+ year old Berner please bring them along to participate in the Veteran Parade at the Specialty Show - Sat 20 July.

The parade is free, it is not judged and every participant receives a memento of the day. It is a celebration of our oldies

2024 Specialty Show - VETERAN PARADE.

A very special feature at our Specialty show is the Veteran's Parade and a great way to start the day - celebrating our "oldies"!

The Veteran's Parade is for all those Berners who are 7 years of age or older and it consists of a lap of honour around the show ring for each dog with an introduction to the audience with their name and age being announced.

Every veteran will receive a small momento of the day and a souvenir catalogue featuring each of the participants.
If you scroll through this page or go to the club site you will see the catalogues from previous years.

Any veteran can participate in the parade and do not need to be entered in the championship show and there is no fee to enter.

If you are the proud owner of a veteran please submit a bio and photo and come along and join in the parade.

We can guarantee there will be clapping, laughter and probably some happy tears as we celebrate our oldies!

If you would like to participate in the parade please send a message to Lyndel Porter on email [email protected] with a photograph and a short biography of your veteran.

Nominations for the parade will close on Sunday 23 June to allow time for the catalogue and momentos to be prepared.
