Puppy Primary School
🐶 ATTENTION PUPPY OWNERS! 🐶
We’ve had a very rare spot open up in our Puppy Primary School (puppies aged 4-8 months) class starting this Thursday night at 6:30pm at our Yarrambat clinic!
These weekly classes, run over 4 weeks, are a great follow on from puppy pre school and teach you and your pup even more valuable skills and practical problem solving as your puppy ages
Michelle is a wonderful qualified dog trainer with a special interest in puppy training and is keen to help you solve your issues and enjoy your puppy to the fullest!
Give our Yarrambat clinic a call on 9436 1699 to secure this last spot ☎️

Happy International Dog’s Day 😃💕🐕
This little sugar glider was found by one of our vet nurses while she was on a morning horse ride. He was stuck in a barbed wire fence!
Thankfully his injuries were minor and after a few days with a carer he was released back into the wild.
The importance of desexing cats.
- Prevents unwanted pregnancies. This is massive in the veterinary industry as there are SO many abandoned kittens that are dropped into vet clinics found to be malnourished with heavy flea & worm burdens. These three kittens are being fostered by one of our vet nurses and are doing very well now!
- Health benefits. De-sexing reduces the risk of mammary cancers & prevents uterus infections (pyometra) in females
- Stops heat/oestrus cycles. Female cats on heat will yowl and cry in a very unpleasant manner
- Less likely to roam. Desexed cats tend to travel in a smaller radius than entire animals which often means a safer environment
- Better behaviour. Desexed cats are less likely to fight than entire cats
- Urine spraying. Desexed cats are less likely to urine spray
HORSE DENTALS
Dental examinations are very important to ensure your horsey friend is happy and healthy. Like humans, dental issues can cause dental pain which can ultimately lead to the inability to eat and loss of body condition.
Equine teeth will continue to erupt and become worn away through grinding of food. If any area of the mouth becomes painful, they will alter the way that they grind their food and this can lead to unwanted changes to the shape of their teeth.
We recommend annual dental procedures performed under sedation to inspect their teeth. This allows us to file back any sharp edges that may be forming before issues occur. We can also assess teeth for food impactions, loose or rotten teeth and fractures.
