Very proud of the 7 horses presented for Trakehner Grading this year! Five foals and two mares.
Both the mares are pure Arab, registered initially with AHSA. Only Arab and Thoroughbred (or combination ie Anglo Arab) are allowed outcrosses on the closed-Studbook Trakehner breed, and such mares (or stallions) need to be graded for their quality before being admitted into either Trakehners Australia Studbook A, or the Trakehner Verband Studbook 1.
Magelica, a beautiful mare bred by Mulawa Arabians, is now in the Trakehners Australia Studbook A, meaning her foals by Trakehner stallions can be registered as Trakehners. She has a very beautiful filly by Gwarryen Orion (Schwartzgold-Pr.St. Woodcroft O’Neill (by Cadeau), who is now a yearling, named Myoora Magique who will now be registered with Trakehners Australia Inc.
Anteguana Al Amiera (aka “ the Polish Princess”), is a pure Polish Arab, imported in utero. She is now graded and entered into the Trakehner Verband Studbook 1. Her Polish bloodlines are phenomenal, and Myoora is fortunate to have her on breeding lease. She will go back to her owner when her foal Myoora Aminah is weaned to breed a pure Arab foal. She will be very missed here, but her filly Aminah (by Craig), is a keeper, so her legacy here will continue. She also has a very striking yearling c**t by Gwarryen Orion named Myoora Alnitak (a star in Orion’s Belt), who will be further handled, then looking for a new home.
The foals:
Myoora Alkira: born in a thunderstorm on 5/11/22, black ( but still has the weird coloured foal coat in the pics. By Elite Hengst Latimer, out of BMS Alethea. Finally, a Latimer filly for the Myoora keeper herd! She scored premium and goes into the Trakehner Verband foal book.
Myoora Nijinsky: black c**t by Elite Hengst Latimer, out of Shady Oak Night Wind xx who graded premium into the TV Studbook 1 in the 2020 tour. Nijinsky has a “ballet” name as he is so elegant and moves beautifully. He graded premium and enters the Trakehner Verband foal book. While lovely, he will be looking for a new home after weaning.
Myoora Florence: filly born 28/11/22, first foal from her lovely mother Pine Mountain Florida, and by Gwarryen Orion (yes, Orion is a favoured sire here). She scored premium and entered the Trakehners Australia foal book.
Myoora Aminah, very beautiful filly out of Anteguana Al Amiera, by Craig, a TV licenced stallion. Everything hoped for! She enters the Trakehner Verband foal book. She did not get a premium score, she was at the vet in the week leading up to grading being treated for a tricky abscess, so she was lame on the day. She is now healed and parades around like the princess she is.
Myoora Vista, c**t born 14/1/23, so only 11 days old at grading. out of Tallyho Miami and by Craig, he is both beautiful and athletic. He scored premium and goes into the Trakehner Verband foal book. He will look for a new home after weaning.
So, after two years with no tour possible due to Covid, this year was a great re-inspiration.
Stay tuned for the 2024 tour where there will be a lot of the Myoora 5, 4 & 3 yo mares presented, as well as a c**t, plus the 2023 foals!
