-Each dog is washed in fresh warm water by hand
-Towel dry only including nails trimmed & ears cleaned.
• Small Dogs $20
•Medium Dogs $25

Blow Drying:
Using a high velocity dryer each dog is dried and fluffed
•Add an extra $20 on top of bathing

Clipping:
-Technique & Styles vary for each individual dog to suit the dogs comfort. Regular haircuts & grooming are encouraged

Have you heard of the 5 second rule? We know exercise is good for us and our pets, particularly dogs, but would you walk barefoot on hot sand, particularly in the midday heat of a scorching summer day? Probably not, and dogs don’t have the verbal capacity to say “this is way too hot, my feet are on fire!”

Walking your dog at the hottest time of day has the potential for serious burns, particularly if the surface is asphalt.

The 5 second rule is helpful in determining whether the ground is way to hot for dogs to walk on. You can test it by placing the back of your hand (or your bare foot) on the pavement, road, or sand and if you can’t hold for 5 seconds, then forget it. Choose to walk your dogs in the early morning or late afternoon…they’ll thank you for it with lots of licks!

*Paw pad burns should be assessed by a veterinary professional. They’re very painful, and may become infected, requiring antibiotics.*

Symptoms can include
* limping
* refusing to walk
* paw pads are darker than usual
* visible blisters or redness.
* licking and chewing at burned paws in hopes of finding some relief

Today I adopted a human...
"It broke my heart to see him so alone and confused.

I suddenly saw his watery eyes as he looked into mine.

So I barked with all my might and went after him, the following from house to house.

Finally, I got close enough to touch his hand with my nose. The man smiled and I felt his cold heart begin to warm.

I moved closer to his face and felt his tears start to flow. I looked at him and he replied with a beautiful smile.

I jumped into his lap excitedly, promising that I would be fine, that I would love him forever, and that I would never leave him.

How lucky that he passed by where I was and that we could meet like that. I felt lucky too.

So many people have been there, but only he, only he, looked at me. I'm glad he made a choice and that I was able to save his life.
