It is the business and passion and lifestyle of the Darmody family. The olives are grown on the family's property at Kapunda, South Australia, on the Western side of the Barossa Valley. The family has been at Tathra Homestead since 1991 and has reintroduced both plant and animal biodiversity to the property, while planting the olive grove. We are applying for conversion status for organic certific

ation. We are committed to the principles of organic production, implementing chemical-free production throughout the property, including our own vegetable garden and free-range chickens.

We all know it's been dry, it's been talked about more and more. This is a spot on the hill we have bbqs, sit and enjoy time together, bring visitors to see the view.

Just a couple of days ago, on the 14th, a memory from 2023 popped up in my phone photos. And I was astounded. Today, we were on the hill again, so I took a photo just to put them side by side. Gee.

We had about 1mm yesterday while at netball. May it rain a whole lot more very soon 🤞

This Sunday we're at the SA Autumn Garden Festival in Clare. We'll have our extra virgin olive oil, dukkah, chutneys and jams on our stall.

Here's the lay of the land for the 2025 SA Autumn Garden Festival this Sunday 6th April:

🚪 Entry: There is a main gate near the road and second gate off the oval….
🚗 Parking: FREE! Please park on the oval.
☀️ What to bring: Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat!
💧 Water station: Stay hydrated with free refills, thanks to SA Water.
🛒 Shopping bags: Bring your own bags and trolleys if needed.
