It is the business and passion and lifestyle of the Darmody family. The olives are grown on the family's property at Kapunda, South Australia, on the Western side of the Barossa Valley. The family has been at Tathra Homestead since 1991 and has reintroduced both plant and animal biodiversity to the property, while planting the olive grove. We are applying for conversion status for organic certific

ation. We are committed to the principles of organic production, implementing chemical-free production throughout the property, including our own vegetable garden and free-range chickens.

When the basil is overwhelming in the vege garden... it's time to make pesto! Featuring Craig's famous garlic from the garden 🤌

This was my first time trialling a pepita/sunflower seed mix over using pinenuts or my normal go to cashews, and I was very happy with the result.

Let me know if you'd like the recipe.

PS. We've still got some garlic and will have some at the in the morning (25/4).

Drawn from a hat, each person was assigned a course number, cheese style and wine in early December. And then on Christmas Day we all contribute to the feast! This year was over about 5 hours we think 😆
