❌️❌️ CLOSED TO ADULT DOGS ❌️❌️

We have officially hit breaking point.

We have not had a single suitable home step up for Basil. Our inbox is absolutely flooded with pound and surrender requests for dogs with the same criteria - adult male dog, needs a home with 5-6ft fences, no cats, older kids and a medium to large female friend or solo.

These animals are all being euthanised because we can not find carers.

Can you help us save these animals?

We need suitable carers by 2pm today. That gives us 4.5 hours to sort at least 6 dogs, to be able to get through the day without a mental breakdown (over these guys, at least).

Our dogs in need are an assortment of cattle dogs, mastiffs, large mix breeds and other goofballs. We guarantee we can find you a match, if you're interested in helping save lives 🙏💜

Last week we lost another beautiful soul. Mr Jay made his way over the rainbow bridge after a long, long happy life! He was such a little star and I’m going to miss his beautiful face!

How’s everyone doing after that horrible storm on xmas night? Hoping everyone is safe 🙏. Here’s some tips for trying to keep your dog’s cool during this unbearable heat especially if you don’t ah e air con 😔

1. Provide plenty of fresh drinking water.
2. Water to play in.
3. Shade and a cool spot to lie down.
4. An ice pack, cooling mat or wet towel to lay on.
5. Use a cooling collar or vest.
6. Avoid the midday heat.
7. Avoid exercising on hot days.
8. Never leave your dog in a parked car.

Or a good ol fashioned wet down with the hose.

☀️Summer days are heating up! Don't forget your dog's sensitive feet as you protect your own🐶

✋If you can't leave the back of your hand on the pavement for more than 5 seconds then it's too hot for your pooch.

It's not just the road you need to check, if you're walking along the beach you need to check the sand too. Never walk in the middle of the day, focus on early morning or later afternoon walks.
