Beautiful Rupert, I’ve groomed him from puppy weeks to now, he did beautifully standing on the table a little longer today. He wasn’t too sure of the dryer today but we got through it slowly. Such a beautiful confident little man. ❣️

Doug came back to see me for his pamper. He has a handstripping session with me in the studio. Each session I work more and more on working in the patterns. We’re getting there!! What a beautiful boy.

We had the best afternoon on Sunday, I had the opportunity to have Lori in the studio with me, training me in the Cocker Spaniel breed trim. I love upskilling, any opportunity to learning there! With laughs along the way, Doug was an absolute super star being my model for the day. I can’t wait to implement what I’ve learn with you and take your tips and tricks to my lovely clients.

‘Strike a Pose’
The beautiful Evora came to see me today for her first ever handstrip and tidy. She was an absolute star. Evora is only 8 weeks old and coped with everything. I kept playing with her off the table to keep it fun and new for her.

🏆🥇1ST PLACE - OPEN - All Other Purebred Class.

I’m feeling pumped and so happy that we placed on Saturday with Alfie my Lagotto Romagnalo. I also competed with one of my beautiful clients Bailey in the Teddy Class. No placing with Bailey, but, I learnt so much from my feedback and we had a lot of fun together. Bailey had the time of his life on show with his new bestie in my boy Alfie.

I have been given the most invaluable critiques and I’m going to use this in my next grooming session with Alfie and try a different technique of working with his coat. I’ve been out of my comfort zone a lot over the last few months and it’s been brilliant.

It was great to be amongst my industry peers and be along side competing and hear their support when we were awarded 1st place, it was so great to be amongst fantastic and talented groomers and of course beautiful dogs!

A special thank you to all the judges and stewards for their time this weekend and special thank you to Jo Marsden and for putting on such a fabulous event and to all the sponsors for supporting this industry;

I had the opportunity to groom my first ever Bedlington Terrier yesterday. This is POLLY 🥰 who is the absolute sweetest girl. I love their trim and head shape, such stunning coat to work with too.

Last week I pushed myself out of my comfy place, and I flew to Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia 🇲🇾 to study and understand Asian Fusion grooming a bit further.

What a great experience. I learnt so much and met some wonderful people along the way and made new friends. I feel like I’ve been given a bag of gold coins that I am making sure the bag doesn’t have a hole in it.

Can’t wait to put all I’ve learnt to the test over the next few weeks on my beautiful doggies.. 🥰 thank you Pets Icon Grooming Academy - PIGA International and to Miss Valerie Valerie Khoo and Teacher Gavin and Teacher Charmaine. It was a brilliant week and I learnt so much from each and everyone of you. 🥰

Meet TOVA, the beautiful Irish Terrier.
This was her first handstripping session with me yesterday and she did so brilliantly ❤️ we had breaks and playtime in the garden so her mind was switched to something new. Then we got back to work!

Im working hard catching up with all my beautiful clients. It’s so lovely to see them all. Lots of fluffy heads and tails arriving this week ready to be spruced up. I love when cosmo arrives, he hugs my leg and holds onto it.

Well after an amazing time away, it’s almost time to come home to my family in Melbourne (I leave the UK 🇬🇧 on Saturday). I’m will be back in the grooming studio catching up with everyone from 23/01 onwards and I can’t wait.

And just like that! ⭐️ I’ve completed my last grooming day today. I want to THANK all of my wonderful customers for working with me this year on their schedules so I can get to this point and get back home to the UK 🇬🇧.

Sam and I worked out last night it’s actually been 6 years since I saw my family. I’m leaving my SIM card and computer here in Australia 🇦🇺 and will be ‘unreachable’ until I’m back on 23/01/24. Please bear with me with any messages or enquiries while I’m away for this period.

⭐️Grooming appointments will be available for new clients Mid February onwards.

Henry…
This beautiful boy is heading home to Tasmania now. I’ve groomed Henry since 2017/18 when I first started to compete in grooming competitions, he was my little muse. He helped me combat my nerves and held my hand as I took home 1st and 2nd place with him. Right from the beginning he became an extended member of our family and would stay over and bark at the tv whenever an animal came on. He loves his spaghetti westerns!!! Henry you’re amazing and thank you for always being by my side in the grooming studio. We will miss you so much ❤️⭐️

Saying ‘Turrah’ to a few of my lovely fur friends this week. 🥲

I’m preparing for a long break over Dec & January, and finishing up the year for walking this week. ❣️

My beautiful partner Sam is staying to care for our 3 boys, Lucky Poly and Alfie.

I’ll be off camping over the long weekend, then hitting a busy grooming schedule leading into me leaving for the UK 4th Dec, to see my beautiful family & friends who I have not seen for 5 years.

Massive thanks and love to all my clients (walking and grooming) for being so understanding and showing love. More doggie photos to come!!

I hand stripped my first cocker spaniel today! Meet Bloom, “in Bloom with Bloom.” Her mummy was happy to guide me and give me some tips and pointers and was so trusting with me. Such a beautiful dog ❣️

I’ve so much to learn, but super happy the client was happy with the groom I did. It’s always daunting working on new techniques and breeds, but it’s great pushing yourself out of a comfort zone.

It was just us today, working on my dedicated day off to learn something new.

This weather has everyone running like crazy at 9am this morning. I bet they are all still asleep 👏😊

What a beautiful day it turned out to be!! First start it was wet and miserable but we soon had to crack out the water bowls and take off our woolies..

We toured the most beautiful place over 7 days and have just got back. We went with no plan other than heading to the Mitte Mitte region, we then drove across the ridge lines of the mountains to the Buckland Valley finding camp 🏕️ spots as we followed the rivers and creeks. We hugged the National parks being careful to stick to the state forest so our boys could be free to roam. Here’s the clip from my instagram reel, sorry it’s not the full video.
