At Just Cats we are currently caring for 103 abandoned kittens.
Abandoned kittens are those arriving into our care under 5 weeks of age with no mother cat.

18 of them we have been able to carefully offer to other mother cats who have taken them on with their own leaving 85 requiring round the clock care.

These kittens just need a safe place to stay, grow and be loved, they are capable to eat on their own when food is offered.

We need more foster carers willing to open their homes to help us care for these young kittens.

All you need is a pet playpen or a dog crate and we can provide you with food etc.

Sooty arrived with his cat friend Felix as their owners health declined and they could no longer care for the cats.
Sooty entered foster care and warmed to them quickly, he can be very affectionate and can also be demanding when it comes to pats and chin scratches. Sooty loves toys and to play, he gets quite rough with his toys lol so be mindful when he is playing. Sooty settled well into home life and whilist he isn't one to sit on your lap he loves to be close to you and will sleep next to you or on your feet.
Sooty is better in a home with older children over the younger ones, is good with other cats and dogs and would love to find a home alongside his brother.

Gorgeous Prinny is now desexed and ready to find her true love, this very sweet gorgeous 10 week old kitten has a great personality, to be honest she can be a little on the needy side as she loves her people and wants to spend all the time she has with them.
Prinny is on a special grain free diet due to an intolerance but other than that she is super happy and healthy.

We'd like to introduce you to Freddy, who is a very smoochy boy, with a lot of personality and love to give to the right home. Freddy arrived to us as a surrender, due to some changes within his home environment.

Freddy is a sweet boy, who just loves a snuggle, but on his own terms. He doesn't mind being picked up or playing with heaps of toys, especially feather wands and cat towers. Freddy is also very food oriented, so if you can provide the treats, you will have a friend for life. Freddy is known here at Just Cats as a busy boy, but he does enjoy curling up in the sun and soaking up the rays.
Freddy has been around young children, but due to his boisterous personality we feel he would be better suited to a home with older children. Freddy would be best without other animals and would be best suited to a home with no pocket pets, and a safe enclosure for him to still enjoy being outside in a safe environment.
We feel that with a slow introduction to his new family, and them knowing how to work with him when he is overstimulated, he will make the perfect companion to the right home.

Unfortunately we are nearly at Capacity due to an influx of kitten intakes and a shortage of foster carers.
We really don’t want to knock any back however if we can’t get more foster carers on board we will need to close for intakes.

Sweet N***y came in with 2 of his siblings as surrenders due to a change in his owners circumstances.
N***y's siblings have since been adopted, but our little N***y has spent longer at the shelter and in foster care due to needing some extra medical treatment. Since being in foster care N***y has THRIVED and he is just the cutest little boy. He loves to play with all the toys, but he also loves to be near his human and is an A grade snuggler.

N***y loves being with people and to be honest he could come across as being a little on the needy side. N***y has socialized with a small dog who he smothered with affection and with a slow introduction we feel he would benefit from having a canine companion in his new home.
N***y is FIV positive - not the end of the world but as a herpes carrier he could certainly have the odd flare ups - we can explain all of his small complications after you fall in love with him.

Happy Sunday everyone I’m back from my quick trip away and so happy to get a video of Choc Top. She’s done amazingly well and is now a thriving happy bundle of joy. She still will need her eye removed once she’s bigger but until then she can continue having fun being a kitten ### Thanks again for all your support in helping us help them ###

Tonight’s feature kitty is little Choc Top She arrived into our care yesterday. This little girl is roughly 3-4 weeks of age but only weights 175g the weight of a 10 day old kitten. Choc Top is unable to see or breath properly due to cat flu, extremely underweight and unable to stand up for herself for to long. We are not sure she’ll get through this but of course we are doing our best to care for her around the clock. Regardless of her survival chances she’s safe, warm and loved.
