💔 Gertie is Searching for a
New Future 💔 come see her tomorrow
At 11 years old, sweet Gertie finds herself looking for love again. She arrived at our shelter as a stray and, thanks to her microchip, we were able to contact her previous owner. They told us they were coming to collect her — but they never arrived. Nine weeks have passed, and despite our efforts to reach them, we’ve heard nothing more.
We understand that life can change unexpectedly, but it’s heartbreaking that Gertie was left waiting for someone who never came.
In that time, Gertie has been fully vet-checked and is has been medically cleared to find a loving new home — one where she can spend her golden years surrounded by warmth, kindness, and companionship.
Despite the uncertainty of her past, Gertie is full of love. She’s sweet, talkative, and adores human company. She’ll follow you around, offer you her beautiful chats, and very likely curl up in your lap for a nap. Her gentle nature and loving spirit make her a truly special soul.
We’re not sure how she goes with other cats, but here at the shelter, she’s shown no signs of aggression toward her feline neighbours.
🐾 Gertie is currently at our Mowbray Facility open tomorrow from 11 till 2pm or available to meet by appointment.
📞 Call us on 6388 9202 to arrange a visit.
Please consider opening your heart and home to Gertie. She’s ready to love again — and we know she’ll make someone very, very happy. ❤️
